I think I want the seats from your 240. I can give you some decent ones to swap in there out of an RX-7.

Well, we'll see about parting things out if nobody jumps on my car offers by the end of this month....

If I can't sell it in full, I know I can easily make the loot I require from selling it bit by bit.....

It's an entire leather swap...

lol, if I just got rid of the seats, I think the rest of the interior would look pretty strange, no?

And the 85 GS needs new shocks, carb tuning/rebuild, and most likely bushings....

Outside of that, it's a proper car... lol

Doug,
You don't join the Foreign Legion, you get convicted of a crime and sentenced to them.......... IN FRANCE for French speaking citizens.

If you want to join a Military I would suggest you try the one that protects your freedom daily.

In the words of General Webb (Last of the Mohicans): the French haven't the nature for war. Their Gallic laziness combines with their Latinate voluptuousness with the result that they would rather eat and make love with their faces than fight.

First off, thats a huge misconception, the Foreign Legion is basically an army of Mercenaries, they are 8500(right now 7800) of some of the best trained military men in the world, they have MUCH more rigorous training than the U.S military(as in a pretty much 160 kilometer march 3 times a week) You have to be able to run back and forth 100meters within 20 seconds.

(I dont want this to turn into a political war, but) I refuse to serve this ******* idiotic fucktard president and vice president, I wish I was born 10 years earlier so I could have served under Clinton. And this isnt a democracy, its a federalist democracy(speaking of freedom). The average American works around 60 hours a week, that is twice as much as just about any other country in the world, most cant even survive without working 60hours a week, whereas other countries(europe) only work around 30. Me? I work 80 hours a week to survive, and I'm still in debt.

Third off, the Foreign Legion is a national icon of France, if you are accepted, you basically gain somewhat of a celebrity status, they are extremely highly regarded, you also get paid(depending on where your stationed, at the minimum of 2500$ a month, and up to 8000 a month) every year you get between 45 and 120 days of paid vacation time, after your service, despite whatever your nationality is, you get French citizenship. Its a job of glory, they DO NOT accept convicts from France, they do a 3 week background check(you are room and boarded during that),In the past they have accepted convicts from other countries, but thats something you have to live with><

while in the Legion, you have the choice of changing your name, so basically I could have 2 legal names/2 different identities/2 passports. So in conclusion, it seems like a really cool idea>< I would rather join the Legion with no signing bonus, than serve this President with a 20k signing bonus.

Yeah the French army makes people tremble around the world. When I was in Bosnia I could have sold you a bunch of French Ak-47's. Never fired and only dropped once.

But you would serve under Jacques Chirac a guy with about as much backbone as a jelly fish. He can't even stop a bunch of teen agers from burning down the entire country.

And you might be talking 2500-8000 Franks because you sure are not talking dollars. Good luck making 6 times the national average as a enlisted soldier. Let us know how that works out.

Yeah thats all great and all but let me tell you exactly what you will be doing for them. You *** will be in Africa protecting DaBeers diamond mines and thats it.
Get ready for a great time in Sierra Leone.
I think changing your citizenship over France is a great idea. France is a country made up of cowards. They would love a ex-american to join their ranks. If you hurry you can get in before Veterans Day on Friday. We wouldn't want you to get a day off for all those guys who gave their life to rid the Germans out of France TWICE.

lol><

I see I struck a nerve>< as I said I didnt want this to turn into a political war, they also dont use francs, they use euros, which are almost double our, I'm sorry I was mistaken on pay:

http://www.br-legion.com/ang/index.html

look under the pay section, and then tell me again><(6 times the average soldier) how long do you stay enlisted? over 5 years? I think not!

And the way you hate france, did some frenchman royally **** you over to hate them that much?

Simply because I am adiment about not liking our current government does not mean I am ashamed to be an American, it means I ******* hate our Government atm. And to attack me for my strong beliefs is pretty childish(by me hating bush and cheney).

More than half of my family is in the military or was in, including about 12 family members currently in the CIA/NSA, and yes my family served during WW1 and 2. Dont question my loyalty to my country, and for days off, I guarantee I get less days off than probably anyone on this whole forum, for ***** sakes I worked christmas last year, and I ABSOLUTELY DONT get veterans day off.

I'm sure your a pretty cool guy Bukwild, but watch who you mouth off too, I'm taking that whole coward thing as a personal attack, if somone said that to me irl, I'd probably knock em right on their ***.

If you would rather work 30 hrs a week and get paid half as much, with higher cost of living; then move, lol. The grass may look greener but it's no picnic.

I spent some time in the French military and believe me you would be much, much, much better off--particularly in terms of training and quality of life--in the US military.

If you feel that somehow serving in the U.S. military would be an endorsement of the current administration's politics, would that not be also true in a foreign military?

(BTW, you might want to double-check some of your information. e.g., 1,033 € is only approx $1,216, not $2,500)
