You can also listen for this sound coming out of the exhaust ports, but it's not a good measure of compression, it just makes sure that none of the side or apex seals are totally gone... if you are missing one noise then a side seal is gone, if you're missing 2, then 2 or more side seals and/or an apex seal could be gone, etc....

It's still best to do an actual compression test with a compression tester.

The air puff test is a Yes/No test. It gives you no numbers and is just a desperation measure for when you're outta moves...

nothing wrong with the car. I think the header is kinda clogged. But other than that nothing.

Oh, I checked baynesville electronics and couldn't find a couple parts for the megasquirt, so I would recommend just buying parts online.

my dad said he'd pay for next day fed-ex

I hope to have the other board done tomorrow (I'm going to baynesville to pickup a copper coated board and some etching solution.)

Did you get the board layout?

EDIT: Here Marcus Sundin's Board layout:

It is 25 x 100 mm: http://www.speakeasy.org/~culverk/Marcus_dualvr.pdf

This is as you would see it on the side where the copper is... (looking at the bottom of the board) Black is where the copper should stay, white is where it should be etched away.

Well thanx for the thing about making my NA faster.. i am considering mega squirting!!! just need to know what to get... i'll be saving this month to get one.. along with aux port sleeves.. can someone pm me the list of things i need to get?..

and turbo.. if i can find one for cheap like 500 bucks i'll make that my DD.. :-P

For megasquirt, you need a megasquirt kit, a vr sensor conditioner, and a few other random goodies...

Or I can build it for you for $320

Oh yeah, forgot to mention earlier...

Got the 240SX head back all shiny and what not WITH Fel-pro gaskets the guy parted out from one of his sets for me (we had the same last name )

Project Slideways will be back in action as soon as I stop being lazy and put it back together...

lol, with my Xbox down, that'll probably be sooner then later....
