tofulball, eage8, do you want this in your megasquirt? Would either of you mind testing it?

what is it? just a prototype MS board? or is it like an extra board you add or something?

it looks neat

I'll test it if you want.

it has the dual lm1815 circuit, egt logging, extra outputs, nitrous, and water injection circuits on it... all of which are things you were thinking of doing.... or are already doing... It includes them all on a single board instead of our current solution of a bunch of proto boards...

eage8: it's an extra board you add that has all the extra circuits you need to use all the msns-extra's extra features.

Looks like some kinda addon to the stock board... I like it, but it needs more lights that blink when it does stuff...

I think, we're out of outputs to power that board.

looks good, sign me up

it'll make it a lot easier to add water injection and maybe other stuff in the future.

EDIT: will that be able to log dual egts?

It's not meant for everything to be used at once, it's just meant to have everything on it so they can send one board for everything...

You'd only populate/use the parts that you want/have outputs for.

eage8: I don't know if it does dual egt... my first answer would be probably not, ..... but I'll have to check to see if the MS2 is even capable of using dual egt logging...

Also, according to my reading of jason's turbo book, if you NEED water injection, your turbo system is poorly designed.... I actually dislike the idea of water injection, but to each his own.

Like I said, it's a board that supports all the extra features that msns-extra supports that require external circuits... so in tofuball's case, the dual lm1815 and the special output transistor board that actuates his aux ports and VDI would be on just that one board... and we'd have a few more features/inputs/outputs available for other stuff...

I'm not planning on needed water injection... it would be just for that extra wall of security so I don't blow up for some dumb reason.

It would be tuned to be fine without it. then I would add it to make it extra fine

I'll agree that it's cool on an NA car for the reasons you want it, but I don't like the idea of using it to fix a poorly designed Turbo system... nor do I like the idea of having to remember to refill the water tank ....... nor do I like the idea of the engine not breaking relying on that water tank not going empty.

a turbo car can use it for the same reasons and NA car can use it...

and you don't have to remember to fill it... that's what the low windshield washer fliud light is for
