Shut ye hole suds!

Anywho, I do however have some GOOD news. I was able to argue with a judge (yelling actually) and talked him into a few reskeds and a few points off the license. So I now have a legal license again, and only 7 points.

had to pay $1479.00 tho'

All for the love of the sport!

boot pin jumper? just do what I did, it's easy... some people put a switch in and run it to the outside of the case... so they have a "burn new firmware" switch

You COULD just drive fast on the track instead of the road... it's a lot cheaper.

MIG aluminum welding is pretty easy though.

Actually no, if the aluminum is thick enough, you can mig weld it too... I did it in my welding class... it's very easy in fact, and the welds turn out strong too.

If the metal is thin then yes, you need to tig weld it, mainly just to get the really fine control of the current to keep from burning through the metal.

welding aluminum is hard as **** >< u need a tig welder, and you need 78t? solder? I'd reccomend taking it to a specialty welding shop, you dont want just anyone welding it.

NO, you DO NOT need a tig welder unless it's really thin... I MIG welded aluminum in my class. MIG welders sometimes even come with charts for settings for MIG welding aluminum. MIG welding aluminum is pretty easy too... The main problem here is that unless you have a spool gun (instead of letting a wire feed machine feed the wire) the wire can kinda bunch up on its way to the torch.... if you have a spool gun that doesn't happen because the wire doesn't really have much to get caught on when it's going to the torch.

TIG welding aluminum is a pain in the ***.... (solder? wtf? you just need the right filler rod depending on the aluminum alloy you're welding).,.. the problem I ran into was that the damned filler kept balling up and falling off before I got it to the puddle... I figured out how to get it to work though... for me I kinda had to jab it right at the edge of the puddle really fast, and make sure I didn't take it out of the sheilding gas (contamination from having the hot aluminum filler rod out of the sheilding gas causes the ball-up).
