I've got 7 people who d/led the firmware I created for megasquirt (looked in my webserver logs... I don't know the peoples' names on the msefi forum) that has working rotary trailing for both FC and FD, but only 2 of them have let me know either test plans or results.
Anyway, one person tested and said it looked good, the other is going to test in the next couple of days... but things seem to be looking really good.
I wish Jason's car was ready to mess with again... I'm sure he'd like having a working tachometer again
(the tach runs off the trailing ignitor on the 2nd gen 7's, and I think jsmcortina at msefi and I have trailing working)

Hopefully my megasquirt will arrive today and I'll be able to start soldering **** together.

Coke why don't you have one of these guys throw a megasquirt in your car and buy a used 89-91 stock fc turbo with manifold and bolt the thing on. Don't waste money on trying to make your NA fast. Not sure what the ems cost but a stock turbo setup should be under 300 bucks.

ok so under 1k. If you run 10lbs on the stock turbo he should have well over 200 at the wheels. And their is no way in hell he can get 200 to the wheels remaining NA and bolting on bullshit for 1k

It's well worth it to make an NA fast for things like autocross, where having a turbo doesn't create a huge advantage.

But seriously, if you want to learn a lot about how cars, engines, and EFI work, you'll wanna put together and tune the megasquirt yourself.

And we haven't even finished tuning fuel or spark... nor do we have trailing ignition installed yet on his car. I think once we're finished tuning, we should be at least close to 200 rwhp on an NA, and for not that much $$$
Jason's car isn't just bolt-on's though... it's Megasquirted with a Wideband controller and sensor, and he did some throttlebody and intake manifold porting.
