I wholly agree with a T2 FB...

FC Subframe with steering and 5 lug, 4 pot brakes, Ford 8.8 or 9" rear end with disc brakes, (For 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern all around), panhard and multi-link, Custom driveshaft (duh)...

And you know what ECU to use.

 

sell the 240 and put the money into your fb (DON'T BUY THE FC BACK) One car is good enough.

I agree with half your statement. I agree with "sell the 240" but not with "one car is good enough"

It sucks when your only car is down for mods all the time... That's why I have the new car I don't mess with (new car isn't required, but I got tired of breakdowns on my used cars that I've had in the past) for daily driving, and the hachi, which is the car for mods.

 

yah, but BOTH brandon's cars are down for the count. If he were to buy a civic hatch or something both reliable and cheap I would have no problems, but he seems in my opinion at least to gravitate towards cars that need some tlc. (I have that problem as well)

 

How are both down for the count? The FB is fine, he just needs insurance and registration... He'd need the same for any car.

I do however agree, one should be fully and unquestionably roadworthy while one is under the knife... Or wrench as it were.

Bah, I changed my mind.... i'm not selling my 240SX unless Jason can't get the head milled (either by being too busy before he leaves out of the country or it being scrap ~_~) or Ken gets mad about space at the house (which he already is, btw)....

lol, I was crazy to think of buying my stuff back...

I'd just end up with more junk I can't use right now... and NOES, the FB is staying stock till I can find another daily driver... No mods for it! I've already seen the ugly side of not having a ride, and it leaves you tired and cranky in the morning....

ray did some wonders with my car, I got it back yesterday, it sounds awesome, its like a mix between euro supercar and american muscle now, its really weird! but it has a blowoff valve that works now!

PFsupercars is one place I definitely reccomend!

 

I'm not mad about space at the house, but I think the neighbors are.

The main reason I think you should sell the 240 is because I don't think it'll ever be that reliable, even after the head is decked.

 

I'm selling my greddy type s(hit) and getting a blitz dd, yay for no more chirpy whistly bullshit.

I've seen a lot of 240SXs go on the market with 190K+ these days... too bad they're asking $1500+ for it... lol

 

so dude. rebuild your engine, fake-shiny the car up like they do at used car places and sell it.
you could get alot for it with a rebuilt engine and all the other stuff you did.

or, at least wash the car so it doesn't look like a pos sitting in the road.

 

lol, I want to rebuild it... but time might not be on my side in the matter... As Ken said, space and neighbors potentially bitching don't exactly help things out....

And yeah, the reason why i'm considering selling it is because I can get $1500 easily for the stuff it's equipped with (Thank you, Initial D tax)

find a machine shop with a cnc lathe, they can make the head surface nice again.

 

That's Jason's role... lol, my head is sitting in the hatch of the GXL right now because he's going to take it to a machine shop... Only problem is that he's been so busy he can't take it just yet....

I'd like to do everything in my power to get my 240SX fixed... i'm tired of having to get rid of my project cars for one reason or another when i'm so close to getting it repaired...

It happened with my TII, and I still regret every moment of it...

 

so you do it if jason doesn't have the time.

 

I get off work around the same time most shops close... the shop is supposed to be right next to where he works, hence why he has it I believe....

lol, to get from the Pentagon to Rockville would take quite a bit of time man....
