...i don't normally do this, but this just hit real hard today.
my mom's kindof sick right now. she lost sight in her right eye Thursday night/Friday morning, and we thought it was her cataracts acting up(they run in her family). well, she hit the doc's today, and found out it's actually the optic nerve.
any one of a number of things could be affecting it, from a simple virus that'll clear up in a few days, to a brain tumor.
please, those of you who care, keep us in your thoughts.
i'm in shock right now - i don't know what we'll do if it's a tumor. i guess we've just got to take it day by day, but this is something i've never handled before.

I went with a friend to a bird breeder (he's into exotic birds, the one he bought was over $1k) and there was an s13 with a ka in it... he told me it's on its 3rd head gasket, and he babys it.

Every wannabe drifter wants one. Plus from what I've seen they're pretty unreliable.

if there's anything we can do to help.... let us know
thanks guys.
she fortunately spent the rest of the day at home today. she's going to see someone at GBMC who specializes in the optic nerve, so hopefully something concrete will come of it.
i'm just not going to let this bother me till we have a diagnosis...then i'll freak out if it's freak-out-worthy.

mom is in pretty good spirits, considering...but she's pretty much taking in in stride. as long as she avoids driving at night, or speeding, she'll be fine till they figure out WTF is going on.
as a total side note - alcohol + emptyish stomach = very drunk Laura. anxiety + very drunk Laura...well...we don't want to discuss that.
if i talked to anyone on AIM last night, i do apologize. i may have seemed coherent but i was drunker than i don't know what.
