If you want to sell that lip seperately, we might be talking, I'd like to see a pickiture of it. If in the event you decide that you need reduce the price of the car by outright selling parts off of it, we may also be in negotiations. I've already got my t2 that I want to keep, but I'm looking for new wheels and a nice lip.

Huh??!!!

crash you are thinking about selling your S4 or are you fishing? ... even though my opinion is worth less than a ford fiesta, im still going to spill-it, you would have better luck parting it out. and in that case, if you decide to part it out, i have a wish list.

Good morning everyone!

I was thinking of going to the garage and stripping this TII we have there.

They're all solid rear, right?

What do they run in terms of suspension? Watts or Panhard? Multilink?

Yeh, I've heard that Camaros handle pretty well

Even the F-bodies had a place back in the day.

Coil springs with lower control arms and a panhard bar, basically a 4-link solid rear.

But anything not properly set up or driven will handle poorly. I guess having owned RX7's and Camaro's and having driven them both, I wouldn't say the Camaro can't keep up on a winding road - and it's not just because the Camaro has the torque to make up for a "handling deficiency". On a side note, the Camaro has a huge aftermarket just like the RX7 so upgrading the suspension is no big deal for either car (though all of our RX7 parts seem to cost 2-3 times as much )

A quick google search found the explanation I wanted for this on a message board - I didn't write it, I just copied it:

> > The corvette uses 1 transverse leaf
> spring
> > across the top of its double wishbone rear
> > suspension. It is not the same application as it
> was
> > in the 60's when they used longitudinal springs
> > instead of coil springs!

> leaf springS. BTW, wagons used them
> transversely as well. Besides, my POINT was that it
> works and works well. Not all old technology is
> obsolete. Wheels are still round, and engines still
> make power via internal combustion. Etc.

i have one i built in college on my desk at work ... it actually "runs" if you get it hot enough on the bottom (or in reverse if you sit it on a block of dry ice)

heat engine

air resevoir with a piston and a valve to atmosphere

heat the resevoir... pushes the piston up... piston pushes fly wheel, flywheel cam opens valve, resevoir volume returns to nominal, repeat cycle

longitudinal leaf springs are neat, they worked the suspension on an old corvette last weekend on horsepower

he's pretty..wierd. i sent his title to him via Certified Mail, with a signature requirement(and GOSH, i got the card back months ago), and he's now saying he never got it.

it's been an argument over PMs for the past week...he's now calling ME incompetant because HE can't find the title to a $100 car that he was going to part out in the first place. frickin wierd.

No but I ordered a billet shift **** and when I asked why I hadn't received it yet, they said that I was the one who signed for it. Considering I still have the stock Hurst **** on the shifter, I'm reasonably sure it never arrived

that sucks.

...maybe it's the same guy!!

blah...the signature on the card i got back MATCHES that of the note he wrote/signed when he originally mailed me the title, so i honestly think senility is starting to hit this guy way too early. i mean come on...it's a $100 car, that DID NOT RUN, and i honestly don't think flipping out at ME over a title HE lost is all that...smart.
