Saw a bright montego blueish FD driving around Lexington Park, MD today. Anyone on here? I waved, but was driving my kids in the G35...so probably wasn't obvious haha.

I still want to plan for one of the get fast events or something else in June. Have you signed up for or are you eyeing any, Matt?

Interested Matt but won't have time in May though. Maybe June? I'd like to do a Test n Tune event sometime this summer for sure. Also, I'd be up for a few CFA meets and/or Cars and Coffee meets. That Sunday Dunkin' Donuts CnC in Ashburn was cool when we went before that Cruise that one time. I recall that was the cruise you mixed up the dates to and didn't attend. Sunday morning is just a better time too. Just can't make either event tonight and Sunday though, and it's supposed to rain. Sucked I couldn't make last month's cruise but my FD is drive-ready so keep posting and soliciting interest please.

So the only issue I'm dealing with right now is an electrical gremlin or gremlins. Tracked my power drain to the "room" fuse so as long as I have that removed, my battery stays tip-top during long breaks between drives. Should have found that years ago, was just lazy. To find it, I had removed the ABS relay/fuse at one point. Now, my ABS warning light stays on. So annoying. (Yes, the relay/fuse was reinserted.) But then, this also happened two days ago. I hadn't seen my odometer fully lit in 7 years! And that's the exact mileage it was at when it went out too. Of course, after I turned it off and back on, it looked like the next picture. Now I need to specifically find which room component is causing my drain and AFR/oil/water temp gauges to act all funky occasionally. Could it be because of a bad oil or water temp sender anyone? There must be a poor ground or short somewhere right?

Anyone Have Double Flare Deburr Tool I can Borrow Around Alexandria??
I have given up on the shitty double flare tool I have. I pulled new lines in my 91 Vert. Would anyone have a decent flaring tool / deburr tool I could borrow? I'm otherwise thinking i'll just buy the Eastwood hand held 3/16" jobby..
Any suggestions are apprecaited. Wife is at the point of "junk it or get to moved out the garage" stage so.. looking to get the crimping done in the next week while she's away on travel!
I'm around the mixing bowl / Alexandria. thanks

I have never flared my own lines buy anecdotally this is one area you really want the best tool possible. Not only are the cheap ones impossible to use without frustration but you really don't want a brake or fuel line leaking later on. Good luck!

Meh, I've flared a brake line with a set of vice grips and a large Phillips head screwdriver when in a pinch before. I'm not suggesting anyone do that, but the result was serviceable and it didn't leak. Don't get me wrong, I agree, you should always use the right tools for the right job. It saves time and frustration, but if you're in a tight spot you make due with what you have available to you. Just make sure you check for leaks regularly

Back in the 7 life again
Its looking like my car will be shipped back in early June. After that Im going to try to get to a couple autocrosses to shake the car out and learn its quirks before stepping anywhere near a track. Also talking with Fortune Auto about a possible set of 510s with custom spring rates. Definitely want to meet up with everyone soon.

Back in the 7 life again
- Customized Valving - You can switch to Swift Springs on the Ohlins R&T for about the same price as the 510s but Fortune custom valves them with no extra charge. You would pay extra for Ohlins to do that
- Local Support - We are lucky enough to be a short drive from Fortune in Richmond VA so if I need anything or have any issues I can just go there.
- Both are rebuildable and you can do that in the US
Ohlins R&T are a great coilover but they are pretty much set for what you get out of the box. 510s are fully custom in terms of valving and spring rate. Also, with the 510s, you can upgrade to a remote reservoir 2-way setup down the road.

Great day at the track yesterday. I'm super impressed with the RE-71Rs.

Shenny freaking rocks!
Are there any passing/no passing rules? I noticed that once you passed the yellow miata after the "karussel", during the next 3 turns, you had too look through the mirrors. I am guessing that it was because the miata could've made an attempt to pass?
Also, whats up with the wave after passing others?
I would love to take my fc to a track day, hopefully in a few years.

In this run group it's pass anywhere with a point-by. Yea, I had to make sure the car wasn't alongside before tracking all the way out. The wave is just a courtesy "thanks for the point". I'll keep posting when I plan to go, so get your car ready!
