I'm bringing the GTUs out. Unfortunately my shitty advance auto parts gold pads are just about toast(don't tell anyone)! I'll have the same old V710's. It'll be a blast. I actually haven't autocrossed with the GC setup yet.

I've got 2 sets of HP+ front pads, you guys think it would be alright to throw one set on without turning my current rotors first? I might have to do some brake work before Saturday.

I'm going to bring a jug of cold water spray if it's hot.

Unfortunately I don't have any of my tools up here.
If you have time on Saturday I can bring some tools with me to the autocross and you can take care of it in the parking lot. I'm sure there will be plenty of car nuts around that will help out if you run into a snag. Just tell me what to put in the car and I'll bring it for you

If you don't have the time, look this place up. http://www.ditymechanics.com/

Sorry I bum people's garages to do my stuff otherwise I'd say you could stop by

yeah, I've never turned a set of rotors doing a brake job Just make sure you bed them afterwards and you'll be good to go.

I thought you got a set of front rotors from John V?

Same here, I only turn them if they are warped and there is enough meat to straighten them out and stay in spec.

If they are rusty just hone them, no need to turn. Just buy one of these and go to town: http://www.tooltopia.com/brush-resea...googlebase_18u

Cool, we like to have 7 guys there to talk to. Again, let me know if and what tools you need to be brought. I don't typically bring much more then basics to these things.

Yeah, One of them had a gouge in the back where it looks like he got a rock stuck in there so I need to turn them. It sucks because they're basically new.

The ones I had on the car will suffice, I'll keep the others as spares.
I got my SS brake lines on today, All the HP + pads, and rebuilt front calipers. Tomorrow or friday i have to swap in my Miata brake proportioning valve and bleed the whole system.

I can't wait for the improved stopping power. The cheap advance auto pads do OK, but not good enough.

It's time to party tomorrow. Unfortunately I'm not double registering. All I've got to do is bed the pads tomorrow morning.

Rocky, I'm sorry I couldn't find you to say bye. Wes, it was cool to meet you, and I'm surprised you drive from baltimore to woodbridge for an autocross- Very dedicated!

Mike, Once again. I was not very impressed that you ONLY beat me by 4/10ths of a second. Next time try a little harder.

It was a fun time, and it was awesome to see everyone.

No worries, I think I dipped out before you did. When I left,I looked around but didn't see you in the lot. Good day all around fellas, I hope to have the vids I took up but this is the first time with the GoPro so it might take some time to figure it all out.

Here is a link to my Vimeo account where you can see some of my old videos. I'll post again when I have the new ones up. let me know if the link doesn't work.

I want to see how the front mounted camera turned out.

I would post a video of my run, except it would kill the internet for how long it would take.

Sweet ride Snoopy, that is a pretty low stance. Also loving the neon green zip-ties holding on the lip

The Video is now up in my account, the file was too big so I had to cut the quality a bit. It isn't the full 1080 but its still pretty good when you hit the HD button in the player. Here is a direct LINK.

The front mounted camera turned out awesome. It really gives a feel for how fast everything is coming at you. I still like the interior mount because it lets me see my driving mistakes clearer and helps me review what I can do to improve, but the front footage is much better to show others that have never been.

That little camera works great.

Does anyone have a timing gun that I could borrow/help me with?

I have one that I can bring to winchester this weekend.

But I've never timed an FB before. You should look up the procedure, you might have to cap some vacuum hoses to keep the distributor from advancing while you're timing it.

Thanks. I have the FSM as well as a document from Paul Yaw on timing. I have never timed anything, so any help would be nice.

I am trying to see if anyone wants to caravan up to this meet: https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-forum-30/rotary-meet-reisterstown-963162/

It is not very far, but it is always more fun to drive with other 7s. Anyone interested?
