I asked if she was on here, she said she was. So I gave her a point to this thread, if she wants to join in she will.

Back to goings on in the area. Next Monday is a MSCW tech session. Here is the link

Might be able to get some things taken care of that you've needed a lift for. I think you need to be a member to work on your car, but I'm sure membership fee is cheaper then another place's lift fee.

I'll make a new CiCi's meet thread this afternoon.
I'll do a poll with the Dates, April 2nd, 9th, or the 16th.

And Mike, I know you have alot of stuff going on but it would be great if you could make it down again!

He might help you install it and buy your C-West for cheap though. Or if it is real jacked up, maybe just find a dumpster for you

April 9th isn't good for me. I have to go to NADC for an open house. So if anybody knows any good shops, let me know.

It's me, I walk in there all like "F** Chris Robbins, I'm going to take all this **** so he can't get it." I strip them and hide all the parts in random cars.

Just kidding man, I don't know who it is. I hardly get out of the house anymore, but I know a guy who frequents P-A-P and he told me there's one there, but it's stripped down.

Either way, whoever's doing it needs to join this forum. You going to make it to CiCi's in April?

Capital Driving Club has posted their schedule. Click the link on their homepage here

First event is on the 19th at the tiny Frederick lot. Not the greatest of venues but good enough to start off the season. I'm signed up for Saturday already and might do the Test and Tune on Sunday to get some more seat time. That all depends on the weather though.

Open sign-up starts on the 11th for non members. But, if I know you and you confirm that you are definitely going to show, I can sign you up as a guest of mine early so you can hopefully get in a better heat.

Who's in?

I registered. This will be my first time doing this, looking forward to it.

I will be "competing" in the small bore class with my 82 GS. Any advice or suggestions?

haha, awesome

I got second in small bore last season in my corolla. It's a lot of fun. I'm glad there will be another guy out there who's not driving a miata

I won't make it next weekend (I now have a 1 week old and I put the corolla into a guard rail and haven't fixed it...) but I'll try and stop by and say hi.

as for suggestions... It's a pretty open class, so just drive fast

Best suggestions:
- Get there early
- Tell organizers that you are new and pay attention during the noob instruction breakout meeting/course walk
- Don't be shy about asking other people if you can ride along with them during other heats, and don't get discouraged if some people say no. (there are quite a few people out there that are just having fun, but some people are serious about their times)
- When you line up your car (well before you are the car that is up next) let the starter/tent know that you want an instructor to ride along. Remind them again when you are about 2 or 3 cars from being up (they tend to forget sometimes)
- Take the first lap slow, make sure you KNOW the course before letting your right foot run away from you.

Everything else is just for fun, try not to over-drive the car when you are on the course (your times will be faster) and be safe and considerate (no burnouts, revving, etc)when you are off it.

I'll be in the black FD, stop by and say hi if you get a chance and I'll give you whatever help I can. I'd tell you that you can ride with me, but I might have some friends showing that have already called dibs. If not, you are welcome.
