Cone racer SCCA

Well we go the old RX7 up and running!! Ran all day, we ran the course 18 times with only one small electrical issue. Just thought I'd post a couple of pics.

So I guess I could put this question somewhere else but I am already here so why not.

I am trying to hook up a Oil Temp gauge... Is there an exsisting Oil temp gauge on the car? If not, where would be the easiest spot to put one without having to drill a hole in the block?

I would go for the racing beat oil filter adapter. It has space for oil pressure and temp sensors. Oh and I have an extra Trailing coil off a s4 car if you want to try that. I will be at the shop Saturday and most likely Friday night.

It is 1219 central avenue in the alley. Yogo Sapphire is in the front of the building. I am going to be there a while today I am starting rust prevention on the rx2 and pulling the motor out of the 7 to go back to Oregon.

Ransom,

Sorry for missing your call bro. Busy day on Sat and I haven't even had tiume to touch the 7 the last week! Looks like next year is gonna be the right time. Pisses me off but gives me more time to hit up my suspension.

What are you going to do to the RX2? I take it the TII motor is being replaced no charge?

Danified: Nice engine you have there man. LOTS of POTENTIAL. Do have any access to your INJ and IGN maps? I am curious to see what those guys loaded up into your Micro Tec. Anyway good steal!

As of right now I am waiting on a boost leak tester. I have a tricky one that is sealing up once the engine warms up. It is really ******* up my idle and has made my 3 day AFR tune I accomplished a couple weeks ago completly useless! I was wondering why I needed SO much more fuel.

All i have been doing when it is too cold out to tune(before the leak) is little **** like installing a rear strut tower bar and interior comforts. She is close to being where i want her granted a lower stance, sway bars and maybe some different body aero.....maybe this winter?

Yeah I can understand not being able to tune. I got to drive up the alley back down it then around half the block. Motor is out going to Daryl this week. I will be footing the entire bill Mazda will not warranty a ported housing even though I don't think the porting effected the Sleeve The rx2 is in good enough shape I am going to put some oil in it and a fuel cell and drive it hopefully. Thing had a new motor, starter, racing beat intake package with holley carb, fuel lines, regulator, and pump. So I am going to sand it down and take the little rust down and seal it up. Oh did I mention it did only cost $500 bucks.
