I am not sure I am going to get the rx2 started at some point other then that I dunno we can meet up at the shop bs get some lunch or something. Everyone chime in what you wanna do this weekend?

I got scammed by Venom fuel inj company. My primaries went **** up and stuck CLOSE(thank GOD) so I had to order some new 750cc from fiveomotorsports.com
GREAT price for 2 brand new milled Siemen injs specific for RX-7's. $152.00 for 2 of them.

There is a huge thread regarding the scam in the sticky section of the 2nd Gen parts section.

So AGAIN my car is down for the count.

Other then that I have been busy, I bought a house so that has been very time consuming and tiring. Will be moving in less then a month. Its up by Lions Park.

dude you should have said something before you got those venom injectors. i would have given you a heads up... that sucks to hear. im kinda suprised you didnt go through rc though.

I knew about the Venom scam then but the ID of the person selling the injectors was still uncertain. The seller I bought from had a outstanding reputation(now B.S). Honestly the reason I bought them was they were cheap and I was still pretty opitimistic about good honest products on ebay. Now I think ebay is a horrible place to buy anyhting automotive. Between the China patient infringment problem and the lack of integrity by sellers has made that website just plain bad ju-ju.

I can't wait till things settle down so I can actually have a FREE Sat afternoon to just hang out and wrench with you guys! Ransom, you will at least have a buddy with some experience in tuning now given the time I have invested in general tuning/PFC tuning studies. Save you some headache next year.

Well the good news is i have monday and saturday off this week so if the weather is still good we should get something going. i really wanna do my hub conversion, burp my coolant(again) and find the source of an extremely annoying rattle....

 

I would also be down with something on saturday. I got the rx2 running today. It runs very well. Much better then I thought it would.

 

saturday would be the best choice for me. i ll be free later tonight too but after i get out of the body shop today i have to go home and do some laundry...

 

Hello my fellow montanan rotorites, finally got enough posts in to be allowed to participate in montana forum.

Im Todd, live in Missoula and will be turning 24 in feb. I have been a member of this forum for some time but just now got into posting on it. I have a 91 FC, na auto. I have owned it for 7 years. Bought it while I was in highschool and started getting into the legacy and modifying it. I used the car as my senior project where I put about 10k worth of paint and body into it. Its definetely a head turner. However two months or so after I finished the body work the motor blew. Only has a little over 61k original miles on it. I left for college and when I came back I jumped on it, tore out the engine and the tranny, started removing the interior for some upgrades and as life usually goes....ended up having to put it on the back burner. But its has been long enough and my car needs to see road again. Not sure on what I want to do exactly as of yet but its going to be a turbo swap of some magnatude with a 5 speed. Its not my daily driver obviously nore will be so I wanna go big with it take it to races and shows, but not as big as a 20b swap.

Look forward to getting the project going...probably next spring, and sharing comrodary with everyone.

 

Just don't buy Jspec shart. If you need parts list for a Turbo swap let us know. If you get looking for ECU and go with a stock unit do not buy any Jspec RHD ECU or wiring harness. Get a USDM only. You can use your stock N/A wiring harness for the swap also just have to repin I beleive 2 wires. Good luck with your project.



Oh yeah and I forgot already how much I HATE GDIAFF old cars. I always forget about the damn old wiring gremlins. Hate those guys! Meh guess I will strip what I don't need and get it basic. Might get a painless and rewire the whole thing.

 

i thought you just re wired everything.. you or is that haltech completely seperate? did you get your engine back?

 

On the Rx2 Fella. The 7 is fine Motor should be back again this week or next.

ok... so hypothetically speaking... when i get a new engine im gonna get a bridge port... what would i need injector size? im pretty sure the only way to go would be 3mm apex seals what else am i gonna need to make sure anyone i line up next to gets pwnd? lol

 

Any of you guys have any porting templates by any chance? I left my set back in storage 2 hours from missoula cause I didn't think I'd be tearing into this engine for at least a year.

 

does anyone know how the weather is supossed to be on sat? if it stays like its been today we need to set up a drive.. this weather is too damn good to pass up. dont bother calling rhett though haha.
