Well guys, looks like I may not be able to make it this weekend. My car is stuck in a shop(non rotary shop, yeah I know its dumb but A-spec is hard to get in to have work done). Had a bunch of mods installed and now it doesn't want to stay running for more than 3-4 seconds. I know its probably a vac leak or something crazy dumb like that.

I'm also waiting on A-spec for my new FMIC setup which they were gonna try to hook me up with before this weekend but I dunno if thats gonna happen. If A-spec does get back to me I will have my car towed directly from the shop my car is at to A-spec and they will fix whatever is wrong. I just don't know if it will be possible to be done by friday.

Don't count me out just yet, hopefully A-spec will call me today.

Awww hell. Make sure you tell them your car is supposed to be tuned by STEVE KAN on Saturday : ) Or, maybe they don't care... I don't know.

What kind of mods did you install and did this just happen after the mods?

Try and atleast get the FMIC. If you can tow it down here then do that. We'll have a full shop and plenty of knowledge to get it fixed.

Yeah they know I am gonna get tuned by steve. A-spec has been working to get my FMIC before the deadline, they are having an issue with one of their suppliers I think. But really thats lower on my concern list, the top of the list is the fact that the car won't stay running. Rigth now I am talking with them to see if I can have my car towed to A-spec to get it running.

I had a LOT of mods done lol. Innovate Wideband guage, fuel pressure guage, water temp guage, SAFCII, greddy turbo timer, swapped upper and lower intake manifolds with jspec chrome powder coated ones, 780cc secondaries, battery relocated, Crane HI-6, Rebuilt Calipers all around, powerslot cryotreated rotors all round and Hawk HP+ all around and SS brake lines.

The car actually ran fine after everything was done except the brakes. The car had trouble starting for a while and it turned out the battery was dieing and it finnaly died in the shop they could not even jump it. They replaced the battery and it started right up but then would shut off.

Man, thats a 5 hour tow, ouch! Then I gotta figure out how I would get down there(ride in the tow truck?). I thought about that though. I thought that it would be a bit of a dick move to bring a non running car down there though. I don't wanna screw someone out of some tuning time.

LoL yeah. It was all supposed to be done like 2 months ago. Didn't get done till like 2 weeks ago, and now it don't run.

And then there is the A-spec FMIC to top it off too! But that has yet to come.

All the brake stuff was not part of the original plan. But my rear brakes were messed up so I figured "**** it lets do it now!"

hijacking in process,
I seem to have blown a block off plate off of my upper intake manifold. I know this is a long shot but does anyone have one. Its on the backside yet under the UIM facing the firewall, just two screws holding it on. I'd like to show up to the tuning to see everyone with my car there and running. HELP.

I have the one on the far bottom left. It's an extra sitting here. If that's not the one you need then make your own.

Yeah! Honestly I don't think they know. lol They think it was flooded and that may be true. I may have a leaky injector. I've got 2 extras so I think I should be ok if I swap em.

I'm off to go check out the car right now. Gotta get some pics of all the new stuff installed too hehe. Its kinda cool havin a shop 2 blocks from work. I wish it was a rotary shop though. I'd waste even more time over there while on the clock!

*edit* 7 more posts till 200 in the thread.

If you guys see any changes that need to be made, please let me know.

Everyone needs to make a checklist before Steve Kan arrives. This is what he said in an earlier post.

"Here're some items to inspect/replace before the dyno. New plugs (less than 1k miiles), new fuel filter (less than 5k miles), inspect spark plug wires, oil change, full tank of whatever gas you normally run, inspect tires (no nails or anything that can fly out during the dyno), inspect coolant fluid (change if necessary), clean air filter, put all the mods in that you plan to run before coming to the dyno (I don't think there'll be enough time to install them on the same day)."

Ok I just got back from the shop and I reek of rotary exhaust like no other. They had my car on a dynapack to do a tad of tuning with the safc so that the car is drivable. I got some printouts.... This is guaranteed to make someone laugh. It made me laugh when I saw them.

Heres a few pulls, there was a problem going passed 3000rpm, but adding more fuel with the SAFCII seemed to fix that.

A/F's durring those pulls:

Torque and AF from the last run:

Boost:
http://img362.imageshack.us/img362/828/boost6wq.jpg

This is from a streetported 13bt with the STOCK TURBO with a ported wastegate. It NEVER hit 16 PSI before, max I seen was probably 8-10psi. I think the wastegate isn't opening.

What do you guys think? Does steve have his work cut out for him or what!? lol

If I can get in to A-spec this week the boost issue will probably get fixed then. Otherwise I will just drive conservativley this friday and we can sort this out down there.
