Steve Kan Tuning in the St.Louis and Surrounding area. **2nd Round**
Update on my status for those of you that care
I got my coolant hoses in yesterday and put everything on the car. Then I took about a 80 mile cruise around the back countries of Jefferson County. I tried to stay out of boost as much as possible and the car actually drove really smooth.
Being on a base map, the car actually drives pretty well. Only issues I am having is with cold start up and when I push in the clutch with the RPM's over 2300 - 3000 the car wants to stall out. Sometimes it will fall to 300-400 RPM's and recover, other times it will die.
Nothing that Steve Kan can't remedy i'm sure.
Anyways, I look forward to meeting everyone and to see some high horsepower Cars. I have upped my goal a little too, in light of everything going so smooth on my car. 350WHP or bust!

Wires........... not sure which wires to get you'll have to order good wires.
I'll help out tommorow... The only thing I need to do tommorow is drop my car off at the dyno place around 1pm or so. It's too loud to drive over early saturday morning.
Tim (OMGWTFHOMODRIFTGUY) and I will be slammin some liquor all day.
:smiley_12
Damnit, my car is in peices again... Car has major problems accelerating... Theres some major vacum leak somewhere, the injector o-rings are like rocks too, so I'm sure they aren't helping(will be replaced by tommorow i hope).. Things aren't looking so good right now.
A-spec hasn't gotten back to me so getting my car to them tommorow looks like its not gonna happen. Looks like I may be fucked.
I dunno if it would be worth it to tow my ride down there either.
I am so ******* pissed right now!

Get to work!!!!! I can move you to late sunday, let me know.
Well, had a number of hard\cracked vac hoses. Those are now replaced. I can't find any O-rings for the injectors! I went to autozone, advance, a few other no name places and even called a-spec too see if they had any, no dice. The guys at the shop are gonna take one of my injectors to a place that rebuilds them tommorow morning and they are 99% sure they will be able to get them there. If not then I will have to go to a dealership and hopefully they will have some. I have way too much stress in my life right now, I'm gonna go relax.
*edit*
Man, Show-Me's sounds really good right about now...

Oh yes, the HELP isle... lots of goodies in that isle. I'm getting ripped off on a brake job tomorrow (only place in town that can get the rotor and caliper tomorrow) besides the dealer, and I'll be set. I even got my cigarette lighter working... necessity IS the mother of all invention : )
Out.
Josh
Out.

****, ****, ****...I managed to buy square plug injectors instead of oval plug and just found out tonight with my car half apart. If anybody has any 720cc injectors they want to let me use until I get more money I'd really appreciate it, I'm pretty much cleaned out except for the remainder of the tuning money. If not I guess I'm not gonna be turning up the boost. ****.

If you guys see any changes that need to be made, please let me know.
Everyone needs to make a checklist before Steve Kan arrives. This is what he said in an earlier post.
"Here're some items to inspect/replace before the dyno. New plugs (less than 1k miiles), new fuel filter (less than 5k miles), inspect spark plug wires, oil change, full tank of whatever gas you normally run, inspect tires (no nails or anything that can fly out during the dyno), inspect coolant fluid (change if necessary), clean air filter, put all the mods in that you plan to run before coming to the dyno (I don't think there'll be enough time to install them on the same day)."
