Overall it was fun meeting all the RX guys and Steve Kan... anybody keep track of how many packs of cigarettes Steve smoked on Saturday???
Like I said before, it's hard to make a set schedule when problems can rise at anytime. Lets try and make this a learning experience. Next time, make sure everyone is mechanically sound before jumping on the dyno.

This tuning session was very problematic. Almost everyone’s cars had issues including mine.

It took way too long to get all the cars done. Steve worked his *** off Saturday from 9am-10pm and Sunday from 10am-12pm (Midnight).

Next time needs to go a lot smoother. We were too tired to hit the titty joints and that’s not good.
Yeah, thats part of the reason why I wouldn't tow my car down there and try to fix it there. Next time I will be ready way ahead of time!

Eric,

I don't know if I thanked you last time you had Steve in town. But thanks now, I am certain everyone appreciates all the effort to set this up and especially all the TIME you've spent organizing and participating at the sessions.

thanks again

Yea, I felt bad about my car and the boost problem... I don't think I really held anybody up though. I pre-paid for 1:15 of dyno time and I used 1:30... so, there ya go. I was impressed with what Steve did with your cars... I obviously didn't give him much to work with... and I wasn't implying anything negative about Eric's planning/management of the event. This was my first RX-7 dyno experience... so, I'll know better next time.

And about the scheduling of the whole day... you're right, anything can go wrong during the day.... But, perhaps we'll make a point to accomodate those that traveled great distances to the tuning next year... that way they can stay on schedule with other plans. I thought I clarified that before I sent my deposit for both Steve and the dyno, but maybe I didn't. And next year I promise I'll have a tuneable car... and I still won't hold anybody up. Hope I didn't step on any toes... that's not the intent. At work we call this "constructive criticism"... or in Eric's words a "learning experience".

Good numbers everybody... I wish I could have stuck around for the Sunday cars.

Josh

Sometime around June/ July would be great for me but I think that is too soon for everone else. I will probably just end up towing my car down to gotham this summer anyway.

It would be nice to have mine tuned but I am not sure what I am going to do with the fd. It may not even be around for the 3rd round. If it is and in running condition I am 100% there. It sucks not going to either the 1st or 2nd rounds because of complications with the car. Nice seeing some good numbers.
