Steve Kan Tuning in the St.Louis and Surrounding area. **2nd Round**
Didn't mean to put you to sleep, Lupe
The last car I had tuned (wasn't an RX7), I wasn't present, so I wasn't really sure of the extent of work that tuners do. I mean, I'd assume certain things... but assuming has made an *** out of me more than once.
I hope I don't blow this RX7 up. haha. I got on it once tonight (still breaking it in) and it was boosting like 13 lbs (wtf???). It's not supposed to do that! lol That's what you get when you buy used, I suppose. I smell new turbo setup in the future with an appropriate wastegate and such... yipppppeeeee!

If you guys see any changes that need to be made, please let me know.
Everyone needs to make a checklist before Steve Kan arrives. This is what he said in an earlier post.
"Here're some items to inspect/replace before the dyno. New plugs (less than 1k miiles), new fuel filter (less than 5k miles), inspect spark plug wires, oil change, full tank of whatever gas you normally run, inspect tires (no nails or anything that can fly out during the dyno), inspect coolant fluid (change if necessary), clean air filter, put all the mods in that you plan to run before coming to the dyno (I don't think there'll be enough time to install them on the same day)."

Eh, you paid your money, I think. Tune away. It might be nice to have a change in engine tone by the end of the day anyways : ) I'm sure Steve appreciates your participation as well.
And I'll put my money on 6 MR2's in the STL area.

So, sorry to abrubtly change this subject, but since I'm coming to the tuning I thought I'd run my problem here:
So, the TII driving home tonight decided it was going to die at every stoplight/sign during the second half of the trip. I tried it with the clutch and without the clutch... it still dies when decelerating down to a stop. I just had the clutch master/slave replaced and the clutch setup is new. So, I don't think it's the clutch. It just flat out dies... idiot lights all light up and it dies. But then it will start right back up... lol. And you can keep the RPMs a bit higher and drive fine, but when you come to a stop again, it dies. Any ideas?
Emissions Removed, cone filter feeding 3" Turbo Inlet Duct, Recent Rebuild with about 1100 miles on it. I also have trouble with hot starts on this car... just doesn't want to start (but it will after a few cranks and shutting the fuel off sometimes). Think this is a vacuum leak somewhere on top of the engine? It's dark, so I obviously haven't looked under the hood yet. I just kept restarting it until I got home
Thanks,
Josh

It idles at 1200 rpm when fully warm, currently... I don't think it's too low. I'm going to check it out right now outside. Just woke up. Hopefully it's something obvious that popped off. ha. it is set too high, though

I haven't done any of the carb cleaner, but everything is tight after the MAF... no hoses have popped off. But, I do think it is the TPS... stupid thing. I haven't pulled it off yet, but when I watch my SAFC... for Throttle %, it's not reading the % correctly. I might have the throttle 50% depressed, but it's reading 0% or 2%. That's my next check. It usually reads normal. And it wouldn't hold idle. I'm kind of think the throttle has slipped off the TPS sensor and it's reading closed throttle to the ECU.
