Steve Kan Tune-DYNO DAY oct 7-8 MINN. are you in?????
#102
Steve has only 7 deposits and I thought we had many more committed. If you want in please get your deposits to Steve. He is expecting to tune more than 10 cars. He rescheduled his flights and will be leaving Monday morning instead of Sunday afternoon because I told hime we would have up to 14 cars to tune.
Thanx,
Ken

Alright, I'm sending in my deposit now as well, seems to be too good a deal to pass up. The car's been pretty much together and running for 350 miles now, tuned for basic transportation only of course .
I'm not sure yet about dyno time though, I need more driveability tuning before going after high hp numbers.

Just as a heads up, Steve likes to have a minimum of 1000 miles break in before tuning. Just to let you know so you can put some additional miles on your motor before he arrives

Ken, where are we at in developing a schedule so people know when to arrive? I think unless there is a formal timeline it is going to be a mess and I do not want to sit around for hours until it's my turn. I'm sure everybody has things to do vs. sitting around all day long.
My preference is to have Howard go first with all three cars that he is taking responsibility for, which should take until 11 or noon. Then the 2nd & 3rd 20B's go in a row (Aaron & myself) so that Steve can be on a roll once he gets going on that particular engine type. Plus Aaron is also coming from a very long distance himself. Then the rest can go however they want to divide it up amongst themselves.
Anybody else have an opinion on this that is paid up? Other suggestions?

Kerry, I know you don't want to spend extra time as it looks like you really have a busy schedule(life). How about we put you down for first one on Sunday. Then when done you can take off.
We have 11 confirmed so far so that gets into Sunday BIG time.

wow, i hadn't checked the thread for a while and it is busy.
i will be arriving friday and staying at Frank's, approx 35 minutes from the dyno. since i will be by myself i will have to ferry 2 of Frank's cars over and back. i would be delighted to go first at whatever (early is fine) time we start. after the first car i plan to drive back to Frank's and pick up his second car. over to the dyno and back. then bring my car. so our 3 cars should probably alternate with other cars. after Frank's cars are finished i plan to hang around and can dyno anytime saturday.
looking forward to seeing all of you,
howard

Hey,
If we are going to set a time-line, I would ideally like to avoid Sunday, as we're driving to La Crosse Sunday for a house closing Monday AM. Since Steve will be tuning Frank's 20B brought by Howard, then I wouldn't mind following that tune as Howard goes back to get the next car. That way, Steve is warmed up for the 20B tune and no gap in tuning occurs time wise as Howard is getting his other cars. I'm flexible either way though, and can go any time on Saturday. I don't want to screw anyone's schedule, but if the order I mentioned works, then great, and if not, not the end of the world. Can't wait!!!!

Hey,
That works fine for me. Again, though, if I'm hosing anyone's schedule that day with this order of tuning, I can move around on Saturday. But if this sits well with everyone, then it sounds great to me. Thanks Ken.
