Hey, what a great idea on a meet Jason! Where will you have it? Sundays are best for me as I most likely wont have to work. Let me know.

think a sit down place worked well and we can figure out that later.

Sept 3rd is a sunday and should get enough time to get ppl and a place locked in.

I'll vote for CR

If I'm free and able to make it I'll try. New baby any day, in the process of buying a house, new job and other regular day to day bs.

On a side not the new owner of my old car just put it on the dyno and had it tuned it ended up putting down 340hp/295tq @ 20 psi on E85. Not too shabby.

Ian, I ******* miss you.

J, bring your car out to the strip when you get it done, we'll see if you can chase down my bike :-)

I'll be doing a lot of body work, it goes way beyond paint. Replacing a door, dented quarter panel, wide fenders, FC2000 front bumper, Erebuni side skirts/rear bumper, shaved trim. By the time I get around to doing it all, if I have a little more money to throw at it I might shave the door handles, too. 17x9 wheels, but that should be the easy part.

I'll probably be dropping in an S5 BNR stage 4 turbo eventually, and possibly use that Vmount kit that's just about ready for group buy, so then I'll need a different hood and larger injectors. I'll actually need to learn how to tune, too.

edit: btw, why is 'jailbait' a tag on this thread?

I'm still around as well. Only really talked to Eric and Blade much lately. Been very busy - moved out to Des Moines with the girlfriend, baby on the way on Christmas Day, working as a Technician for VW/Audi, fixing up the house/garage/yard, and of course this:

Girlfriend has one too:

Been looking to pick up another project at some point in time. We'll see what happens.

BTW, nice rides man.

Need to know a good Rotary Shop for IA.
Just moved here and starting to rebuild my 79 with a 13B TII. I can do most of the work but will need some pre-fab and someone to get the Power FC set up.
Any assistance would be great, most of these threads are old and outdated with picts and links.

You will need a GSLSE (1st gen special model) front engine cover and oil pan in order to mount your TII engine into the FB. The PFC I have no idea about but youll probably want to also swap tailshafts from your FB trans onto the FC trans (TII trans is much stronger) and fab some simple trans mounts to hang it. I cant remember exactly what you will want to do with the driveshaft but I am sure that info is in the 1st gen archives or FAQ page. Your diff on the other hand is kind of now going to be the weakest link of the setup so you may want to swap in a series 3 (84-85) limited slip diff although if you get really good traction while taking off you may still have issues.

Feel free to PM me with any questions you have. I havent done the swap myself but usually know where to find the info.

Heres a link about drive shafts with T2 trans:

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/what-driveshaff-use-tii-trans-949243/

Also forgot to mention in other post that you will also need either a 12A or GSL-SE 13B oil pickup tube to go with the oil pan since the FC one is crooked to go around the engine mounting point, and also either the GSL-SE engine mount brace or use your 12A one and slot the holes so it will bolt up.
