Hey Iowa IV
Let me know, I have all associated stuff to go with it. I bought this stuff for my protege back when it was only a couple years old (it was an '01 remember LOL). Never used.
wow. must be nice. we've got about 3 feet of snow on the ground. and i swear its been snowing 4-6 inches every other day for the past 3 weeks. i can only wish it was fall..... i hate winter.
I got a SBR Evo3 16g STI top mount and DW 875 injectors coming to me next week. It should be a fun setup with the external waste gate. I'm hoping for around 300 to the wheels with a conservative tune.

I almost picked up a Audi last week had a guy that wanted to trade me for his 99. He ended up backing out for some reason. I miss my Audi pretty bad. I'll get another one someday.
Ian, you did not fail me, thanks buddy
Idk man, the 2.7TT with even a tune and premium fuel is pretty quick. I need intake, exhaust, DV's, and a couple other things first to make it a little more responsive though. We'll see what happens. lol
Well let's see some pictures of it! I'm assuming it's not a A4 and it's the S4 with the TT V6. Yeah those things can be pretty damn quick. You should come down with the group of subies that go to the Subaru Shootout this year, it'll be a bad *** time.
Yes, it's a S4 with the 2.7TT. I would love to do some runs here once I get the car 100%. It should be pretty set once spring gets here.
Well I lied I guess about my turbo, looks like I'm getting a 18g now. The Evo 3 16g's were on back order for a couple weeks and they didn't bother to tell me this till Thursday so they are sending me a 18g instead at the same cost! I was kind of looking forward to the faster spool from the 16g but I think the 18g will flow better up top and hold boost instead of taper. I'll be well above 300whp now :-)
Also does anyone know anything about the winter blend E-85? Does it really drop to like E-70? If it does what are the octane ratings on it? I've been looking but was wondering what you guys thought about it.

There was a chart floating around on the blend rates, but yes, it drops considerably in the winter. I was thinking in winter it's around 95 octane or so and summer it's around 100 or more. E-85 is basically race gas for less than pump gas price and is great if you have the pump and injectors to support it. Drops EGT's 200 degrees, allows more knock prevention, burns cooler, etc. etc. Only downside is that you use a bit more fuel with it.
Congrats on the turbo! I'm sure it will work great!

maybe by the time i get back there will be a few E-85 pumps and I can start using it.
