Here's a few maps showing where the park and the pavillion are. Ellis Blvd is closed at Ellis Park, so you'll need to enter from the Edgewood Road side. The route I've drawn from 380 is the easiest way to explain how to get there. I know there are faster and shorter routes, but this is the easiest route to explain to people that don't know the area.

Wal-Mart is less than 10 minutes away from the park, so if anyone forgets anything it won't be hard to go get it. Beer will be allowed, but in nothing larger than a quart. Anything larger (can you say keg?) would require a permit.

April 17th, SCCA AutoX by Saylorville Lake (Des Moines area) if anyone's interested. Last rx7 I saw there was a white Turbo II that kept spinning out, though.

 

I saw a white TII in des moines earlier this week. It was really clean with S5 lights.

Nah, haven't been able to get my hands on a dilapidated 86 sport, then I bought a motorcycle and crashed my Accord instead.

So, now I'm fixing the car and looking for work.

I still go to the AutoX, though. Come out, I'll introduce you to a few friends. Crazy gearheads all. They all have much nicer cars than I do, though.

 

There will always be someone with a nicer car.

I might head out sometime to an event. I have drill on the one comming up.

Will you be able to come to the meet?

I'll have my FD there too. Although it is a workin progress (aren't they all).

Well, by nicer I mean STI's and EVO MR's. The Celicas don't count.

I'll try to make the CR meet if I'm welcome, even having never owned a rotary. Hopefully at least the Accord will be done by then. But it's close enough since I'm in Iowa City for school.

Know of anyone in Iowa area with T2 engine/tranny/rear end? Found a black 87 sport at autoX today - gonna call on monday for price (should be around$600-800), but the shifter feels so loose that it's like it'll fall out, and the odometer's got 122k miles on it - engine doesn't look like it's been rebuilt or otherwise messed with.

 

shifter bushings are prolly blasted.

when i drove my TII back after i bought it my shifter came out of the tranny!

LOL.... i haven't seen one stock rx7 that didnt' have shifter slop.

I have TII irons if you want to rebuild using the NA rotors/housings. That would save alot of money.

I always wanted to do that. Bit higher than FD's and have really quick spool.

 

What all did you get with that turbo kit? That sucks those turbos went bad on you so fast. We could meet at I 80 truck stop because its really easy to find, we could meet around noon or so if thats cool with you guys then we could head up together. Just let me know guys!
