oops.... Oh yeah I think I am going to just go ahead and fix your stupid gay car (adjust the carb also) on saturday. Ryan is coming down on sunday so you will have to pay me back by helping fix his 300ZX. If that goes smoothly, you get to help me swap gas tanks again. I may wait though until after you leave to do that. Cant show you what I did to the car just yet.... Are you bringing your girl down on sunday? You should, if she doesnt have to work. Also that tach doesnt work right so I bought that cluster for nothing. I also somehow lost all gauge/parking lights and didnt realize it until I got back from IC one night. I wondered why everyone was brighting me until they were up on me lol.
Ian. you are a dumbshit. Czek your phone man. I am coming down to fix the damn thing in the morning. I got the exhaust bolts so its on. If you forgot the tags im going to kick your *** . The shitsu has sumething going ion in the rear suspention so my girl is bringing me down. I plan to drive the car back her no matter what. It is even now insured.. Should have done that over pm but **** it. I will be there around 11 so be awake bitch.
A few guidelines
Hey guys, just a couple of guidelines we need to follow next weekend. The goal is to have fun, but in order to make sure it's fun for all we need to follow these. The rental agreement for the pavillion says "No live or amplified music is allowed in the park without a Special Events Permit". So, if you want to show off your new megawatt sound system, please do it elsewhere. Also, we need to make sure we clean up after ourselves. Please bring a garbage bag so you can clean up your own mess. I know in Marion parks there are no trash cans, so you have to take your own garbage out. I don't think Cedar Rapids parks are that way, but just to be safe, please bring a garbage bag.
I'm really looking forward to seeing other RX-7s from the area. I've owned my '79 since I bought it new from Bruce McGrath on May 24, 1978, but I went through a long stretch where I really didn't pay it much attention (hence, the 52,xxx actual miles). But now over the past year I've been getting back into it and I'm anxious to see others' cars.
I have to be there at 11 to open the pavillion, so show up anytime after that! Let's have fun!

One thing this group is bound to do is draw the attention of the cops. At an Accord meet (mind you Accord meet, so while they were modded they were still Accords) about a month ago, cops kept checking up on and harassing us. And this was a very civil civil bbq in a park. So be careful.

Well, I hope to still be able to make it. I've sprung yet another oil leak, and depending on what it is I may not be able to make it.
It's either an oil cooler, the weld, the fitting or the line local to it. Hopefully the latter two. If not...no go.

I'm planning to show up with my 88 SE. Anyone need any random parts? I have most of a S4 parts car & a bunch of engine parts laying around, if anyone wants stuff.
Any route possibilities for the cruise? I may check out some stuff around Iowa City if I get time.

Um... if nobody has any better ideas, I found a really nice route around Iowa City. It'd be a 30+ minute drive from the park, but... it's about 10-12 miles of tightly winding roads.
Sugar Bottom Drive, if that means to anyone in the area.

OK... I have to play Army this weekend of the meet, starting Friday night, IF this thing should go well past 4 pm could someone call me on my cell? I want to make it, I am going to try to get out of work early on Saturday. I have my new engine installed and its running very well, except the carb. BUT its great on interstate.
email me if you would be willing to call about 3 pm on sat..if not its ok Ill try to make it anyhow but would like to know if there will still be people around to talk to and check out cars.

Im game for a cruise anywhere. Got everything fixed and even got the bastard insured. You guys can drift all ya want, im not that confident in my 20 year old suspension yet. I have seen a bunch of 7's driving in cr so i am thinking the turnout is going to be great this year! Cant wait.
-Ian bring your cam and cable for the comp. I will try to get ahold of one too.
BTW..... Does anyone know who has the bad silver Fd with the body kit that was cruising 1st ave in the rain? Was a beautiful machine, i want to see it up close.

My *** was there

I hardly ever drift and when i do it's only in my FC (full suspension plus 245's up front make it fun)
I defently dont' do it during the day. Down there at night the one end is blocked so you konw there are no oncoming cars (park closed).
Oh the memories...... that was when i had my old exhaust that would shoot flames..... nothing like squee'ln tires and shooting flames going around corners.
That place is nice b/c 30mph is about as fast as you can go with out getting serious. It's very low speed.

I got a pretty nasty cold from out in Indy but it was worth it.
I'm feeling pretty good as I got the haltech to pick up rpms. Turns out it was because I had an older version of software loaded that had a bug in it.
