Huh. Weekends work for me. Just let me know (and someone IM me or PM me or such, I haven't had much time to surf this forum... too busy trying to keep my commuter Subaru running).

Currently the only running '7 I have is a 1988 SE (for sale).

I'm sure it would work. They don't make any distiction between vehicles...they just say it'll fit a 13B 4 port or 6 port. But you should check with Andy at Camden before doing anything. He's VERY helpful.

It's $2195 direct from Camden, but I got mine off eBay (an older unit, but unused) for $1300. I've had to buy some parts for it, since this one was intended for a boat. All told I have less than $1500 in it. Just got the Holley 650 double pumper from Summit Friday!

I would rather take the FC but no radio (put in FD) and insurance. I might put one in soon....... the engine bay looks like crap now too as it's the neglected child.

here is a photo I shot today (selling some FD interior crap so i took a shot of the two cars)

Hey guys -

I've done a little initial checking on renting a pavilion at a city park. They can be reserved by time slots: 7AM - 10AM (who would do that?), 11AM - 4PM, or 5PM - 10 PM. I would think 11 - 4 would be the right choice...what do you think? I think Jones and Ellis parks have the best choices, but you never know who has reserved them already for what dates, so we might have to take what we can get, but are there preferences? As for the date, I have to stay away from May 21st, since my daughter is getting married that day. I'm thinking May 14th...what do you think? I'll try to do a little research to see if I can find a pavilion with a nice area to park the cars.

May 14th will work for me. I'll be done with school for a week and my car will be painted and possibly have the suspension done. I think both Jones or Ellis would be a good choice.

Mid may should work good.

I'll have to check to make sure I don't have drill though on the 14th. I'll find out tomorrow.

thanks for checking in on that Rich.

I live in North Liberty, which is 4 miles north of IC/Coralville, but I work in Cedar Rapids. It looks like everyone is going to meet up in May (14th?). I will not be able to make it then due to my little sister's college graduation party back in Omaha. Bummer.

I went out one of these events last year over the 4th of July weekend. I would go again. My car isn't very quick, so I just went to have fun and not compete in the shootout. It was a good time, but I only got 3-4 runs in before they started the shootout. The cars weren't crazy fast either, I don't think anyone (domestic or import) ever ran faster than 10.5. I figured a few small block guys would have sprayed themselves into the 9's, but it didn't happen that night. As far as the muffler thing, they didn't even check on my car. I have a mindtrain catback, so it isn't very loud anyway. There were a couple of cars that came in on trailers without mufflers and they ran without any problems, so I wouldn't worry about it to much.

Later,

Well it's not THAT fast but it should pull mid 13's with out a problem. It's slower than my FD with both running 10psi (it has a WAY better launch than FD though)

I was going for the "whole" package deal. I spent more on suspension than my engine

Speed is the last thing I usually focus on.

I have drill 21-22 so the 14th works for me too.

As it stands now I think we narrowed it down to a park in CR on May 14th

May 14th in CR works for me too. As long as i can get my vacuum hose job done without breaking anything else. Damn POS solenoids. I already broke 5 because they're so brittle. Any tips?

i usually wake up at 1:50pm. I'd say 5-10. If it's 11-4, we could all go for a cruise, though.
