OK... now that we got some ppl in the thread I guess it's time to pick a location as that's usually the easiest to do.

I vote for Cedar Rapids b/c its kinda the middle stomp'n ground. The ppl from Des Moines/Ames can roll down together if they like too.

Also bring friends and car enthusiasts.

I can certainly meet up in CR given a few days advanced notice and good weather! My car is afraid of rain.

 

CR is cool with me again. If my car starts, I will be there. If it doesnt start, then I will have to drive my protege and you can all make fun of me for being a ricer.

I'm up for one anytime in late April or after that. Cedar Rapids works for a meeting place too for me. I'll be finishing working on mine within a week or so, so my 93 should be fully functional. Just let me know when and where.

i got a 87 tii it runs alright i had some prblems with it when i first got it like i dropped a bolt in the motor. you can ask jason how fun it was to get out but he's the man so he got it out and it's running. id meet up in CR just let me know when and where. ive also been trying to get some people to come down to the dragstrip in cordova illinois they have night races over the summer one in may june july and august and a domestic versus import race on september 11 i'd really like to get some rx7 guys down there for that so we can all put it to the mustangs and cameros so let me know if anyone is interested and let me know when you guys meet up too

I saw a flyer and it was saying street legal mufflers and tires for alot of that stuff. Does "muffler" mean exhaust? If so, mine isnt exactly legal.

 

This sounds like fun, and (obviously) CR works for me. I'll give it some thought and see if I can come up with a good location. I assume a nice park is the place of choice. Noelridge maybe? Could also go out to Palo to Pleasant Creek, or Thomas Park in Marion. Other ideas?

I'm interested in the muffler thing too. Both my cars have cats and are pretty quiet (FD has exhuast leak by turbos). I would assume that be good enough.

I'd be up to see how slow my **** is. Steve says it's a blast to go down. I've actually never been to the strip.

they really dont care that much down there i think the most they check for is nitrous to make sure its all hooked up right and a battery tie down but other than that you should be good to go if you wanted
