The OFFICIAL drift setup thread
Well that's what I thought! I just had two separate nissan owners tell me, "Oh ya, you need to get rack spacers if you really want some angle" One of which helped me with the project.
I think there might be a little confusion on direction. I've seen 240 guys space their steering racks out farther from the subframe. Maybe thats the spacing they were refering to?
EITHER WAY, don't listen to 240 guys cause you don't have a 240.
Remove tie rods. Install spacers(polished pieces). Install tie rods. Install tie rod ends. Adjust accordingly.

pretty sure you already got this sorted on FB. but try out the washer trick like i was telling you.
you may have to flap disc some of your tie rods down to get the alignment to zero, but honestly when you do that and get spindles you'll love life.

so when you use rack spacers the tie rod end has to be shortened and also the adapter from inner to outter has to be shortened?
cuz otherwise it would just toe out like crazy?
i dont think i could use rack spacers... im already millimeters away from hitting lca.
unless i put on my R-disks on the front... then fattttt anglezzz

I'm just gonna leave the set-up I have until I get the spindles. I may not have the power or the skill to hold 90 degree drifts yet, but it'll help me from spinning out. I probably won't even do those until next winter. I'm tryin to do a cage, put on my kit, and paint the inside and out before next season starts.
spindles before anything. you dont need aero, and cool paint to look cool spinning out.
do the spindles. you will wonder why you didnt do them first to begin with.
Ya, they're installed for sure.
Lol, well I already have the kit and really wanna look cool! Haha, and wasn't it you who was saying you had a kit and paint before you did the dtss elims???

So was I
But seriously, even if the car looks cool it won't drive as solid as you want it to be. Focus on getting the car's suspension and drivetrain to spec/your driving style first. You will be much happier.
