Because it's a waste of my time.
Gotta understand, I may be a moderator, but I don't have to explain how I feel about something. So, I guess you could call me moderhater or a "****". Whatever else you can pull up to call us.
Oh, btw, when you report a post, those people are not scammers, it's just spam. Just for future reference.

Exactly. People can either deal with it or find alternatives. But there is an obvious reason the change took effect. Being how the place was purchased by a corporate entity it either has to do with money or liability.
Correct. Also by allowing vendors to participate in sale of tuning modified street cars using an aftermarket engine managment system is illegal on a Federal level. If you really want to get into cutting out illegal activity on here you might as well just shut the whole place down.

Even if the name change was suggested by the mod and not IB, the mods represent the company on this forum. Was IB consulted on the change? Do they even know changes were made from the norm? Is there contact information for getting a hold of IB on a level beyond this forum? Stepping over the chain of command so we can voice our disapproval to the company that pays and make the money off the site?

So posting all of these "Don't waste your time posting, we're not listening." replies isn't wasting your time, but constructively answering questions is?

If the shoe fits. I'm certainly not going to try and insult a mod/admin though, as obviously that's against the rules as well.

it might not need their approval but if it starts to have an effect on "their" bottom line im sure they would want to know why. So is there a way to contact them to voice our disapproval for the way their employees are handling the board?
Lol. I like how my post was just clearly ignored.....
But in short This is dumb. Do you see youtube banning all the streetracing videos?
Dont be gay, every other car site/forum has some kind of kill section, why be that one lame one that doesn't? No body supports street racing, just say "this section is not strictly moderated." or something.

/End of discussion.
Oh p.s. Why did the mods decide that the kills section needed to be removed?

Please, post in the lounge, we need all the fodder we can get.
wrong and wrong.
You can upgrade an FD to surpass the performance, streetability, AND gas milage of that of the mentioned 'super cars'. Clearly you do not own an FD. the thing is is that an FD of that magnitude costs >$35-50,000 to build and a lot of know-how. Merlin is correct in that he should be happy/proud that his very low-cost (in comparison) 1.3 ltr , jap car bests an over priced super car in basically every way.
besides, why would you invest another $40-100,000 to be able to race legally (costs of a truck/trailer/garage space/car mods like fuel cell, cage etc) when, if you do it in a responsible way you can achieve essentially the same thing?? Ohh right, because its against the law. You should take a political science course or political anthropology, then you will understand that laws are bull in our society anyways.

Once again, you are sadly mistaken if you think you need $100,000 to be able to race legally. At minimum all you need is a bone stock car that can pass safety inspection and less than $400 for one track day. Less after you are out of the novice class and no longer need an instructor. You don't need a truck, trailer, garage space, fuel cell or a roll cage. Drag racing or autocrossing is even cheaper at less than $50 for an event.
I will also disagree at street racing being the same thing as track racing, not even close. If you're into long stretches of highway, all it takes is that one speed trap or mechanical failure and its all over. This is assuming that you are REALLY racing (100mph+), not doing 0-80mph runs, or 2nd gear (40-90mph) runs because thats slow. Racing on deserted twisty roads is a little easier to get away with but all it takes is that one deer, or that one loose or worn out part, or inattentive driver crossing the double yellow and you're done. You will also usually be nervous around police and often be ticketed for equipment violations.
Thanks for the suggestion but I'll be alright, maybe you should instead take racing up as something more than just a hobby and you might understand why real car enthusiasts chose to do it legally. An English class would help too, with your punctuation and spelling errors and lack of comprehension. Re-read my post and you will understand that I have street raced and I wasn't speaking against it. All I was explaining was how dumb the threads in the kill section are and my inability to understand the hype behind beating someone in a race and telling everyone about it, like 'OMG I KILLED THIS CIVIC ON MY WAY HOME'.
At least 70% of the threads in kill section resemble the example I posted and thats exactly why I'm happy its pretty much gone.

How about we change it to the
"DAVE SEGALLA, GUITARJUNKIE memorial Legally Sanctioned Racing Kills Section" in memorial to Dave who was killed driving at high speed down public roads.
"DAVE SEGALLA, GUITARJUNKIE memorial Legally Sanctioned Racing Kills Section" in memorial to Dave who was killed driving at high speed down public roads.
Except death.
My dad's brother died the same way (and took someone with him). So... I don't really speed too much, as a result of knowing first hand the damage it will do to your family some... 20 years later. Not everybody has the foresight to do it.
