that what he got for cheaping out on parts, where do you even buy a sasamo exhaust, not to mention why he put on a k and n intake, also the front dash speaker was cracked because he had a gauge pod in there, I can think of a few other things but I am going to stop disrespecting him as he passed away in the accident
#327
he didn't die, he's my bosses buddy, an he saw him awhile after, an told him what happened, he had a small cut an a bump on his head, thats it, an apparently he was going 60, an trying to drift in the rain. His girlfriend saw it happen. He's still alive

thats just what i was told, one guy said he was going 160 or something down the highway, didnt see a turn and rolled, this other guy said he was going down lagimodiere or something and rolled, so i dont know, but you would have to be pretty lucky to escape from something like that with just a few bumps and scrapes, just from looking at the way the roof and the windshield is you would have had to have at least more then a couple scrapes.

i think it was somewhere near lagimodiere, an he is damn lucky that he came out alive, but as far as i know, he's alive, an hopefully smartening up an not trying to drift for the first time in rain

I know a couple people who said they saw it happen.
apparently he was driving down route 90 near st.v and tried to pass a honda, hit boost, lost it and smoked the barrier. Ended up going airbourne and flipping as mentioned. I'm told he had the car for less than a day. Probably was jsut telling people he was drifting to save face.
Anyone driving that car in those conditions at boost is asking for trouble. So he lost my respect.
Anyways last cruze night some guys came up to me and asked where to get parts for an FD. I asked what parts they needed:
"a roof"
lol. I know who bought the car at MPI. Apparently the engine still runs smooth.

when I was at MPI one of the things I noticed was that he put on a greddy boost controller, so he probably had the boost cranked when it happened which caused him to loose control in probably rainy conditions, he would have either messed up the engine or the body anyways, because even if he didnt get in an accident, he didnt have the supporting modifications on the car to support higher boost psi.

actually i heard he bought it at the end of last summer an just took it out of storage, an route 90 sounds about right where it happened. An i agree I hope next time he tries to drift he uses a 240sx

it's worth a shot, its about a months wait there, but gerry gordans wouldnt take it apart, and you might as well do it yourself then go to freddy because you probably could do a better job, and I don't think there is anyone else in winnipeg who is doing rotary work.

hahaha, thats true, but in regard to walls, last I heard he was working on rotarys, i think he did the 20b fd, and when I was there last he had a couple 92's sitting around, I'm not sure if he like can completely take them apart but when I asked him about resealing my front engine cover and doing a single turbo conversion he said he'd have no problem doing it, just that he would be able to get to it for 3-4 weeks.

Nah, I'm a fake, hahaha. I was in the process of doing a 20b build, hence my forum name, but then things changed and I found a '93 that was bone stock from the original owner, selling it through a dealership, 30000 on motor, tranny just rebuilt and it was too good of a deal to pass up. Anyways, I won't be on the street for awhile because I recently got it checked out by Gerry Gordan's Mazda, said second turbo was blown and leaking oil, also the front engine cover seal need to be replaced (leaking oil as well, motor needs to be pulled in order to replace and with the turbo I'm looking at huge money). So right now I'm trying to get a second opinion on the work, looking at Wall's, but I'll either be rebuilding the twins, or going single (GT35R) and then I'll probably just tune it to 8 psi and run roughly around 350hp.

I am hoping to do some big things this year as well. But that costs $$$$. Oh well.

Nice car, 20B 3 Rotor.
There was a car show out here in Steinbach i had the opportunity to meet Ken Tourand and his immaculate '82 GS. It's an absolutely gorgeous car. While I was talking with him, i realized i hadn't posted anything about my new FB.
First off, i should start with my old '83 GS, aka: The Erasor.
After hitting a curb and smashing the oil cooler last November, i put her up for sale and sold it on December 9. Its still kickin around the 'Peg, too.
On January 15 I bought my '84 GS.
When i first got it home:
Here's a vid:

Here is a vid of my Weber 45DCOE and Lake Cities manifold that i bought off of LIRX. Needs some tuning but it sure is a blast to drive.

The Lake Cities mani is pretty sweet. The motor is much more rev-happy compared to stock. I just a nice RB exhaust to compliment my intake and i'll be golden. If anybody has any RB exhaust pieces, PM me. I'd be interested in purchasing them.
Thanks,
Joe
