Is your car ever hanging around in Brandon? I've seen a red FB a few times that looks exactly like yours, nice looking car.

If your looking for someone to rebuild your engine and port it, you might have some trouble finding someone in winnipeg to do it. Fred might, but in my opinion, I would not have him rebuild my engine.

The only other place that I know does alot of work on rotary's (tuning, modifications, not sure about rebuilds but its worth a shot), is wall's rod and custom.

Before I started working on my cars and had no mechinical inclination I went there to have some bolt on's done. They did excellent work. If I remember correctly they also did some work on the 20b 3rd gen thats here in winnipeg.

As for a meet, check out winnipegheights.com in the mazda section. Thats usually the first place a meet is posted, then cross posted here. Lately though are meets havent been that great, either because of weather, poor turnout, or the spot we chose was just too busy and nobody knew where to go.

Yeah, I'm pretty familiar with that site, lots of good parts for old school cars, I heard alot of their carpets are horrid though, off color, bad fitment, and the like. Any word on any kind of meet in the spring, I feel like I'm the only one in a 7 around here, I'm usually down in Winnipeg once a month, I wouldn't mind taking the trip to hang with some rotor heads.

BTW not missing much in Brandon lol, 45,000 pop or so, we have cruise nights in the summer, but its the same people, muscle car guys, and ricers. There's a few people who are into JDM cars and what not, but none of em go to the meets. Last big car show we had, best import award went to a Dodge Neon lol. Its sad.

Nope they're SSR's, but it is originally from the city. But you probably have seen this one, a guy named Kyle Pearce owned it before I did.

anybody do any upgrades over the winter on their cars or buy parts etc ?

The 600$ white '79 I bought for parts last year in the city was a great buy. I got the rebuilt engine it had put in the other '79 Limited that had bad oil seals . I sold the red interior and header for $600. I also sold the old RX4 engine I bought for $75 to a guy for $500 rebuilding an RX4 in Ontario. This paid for the stripped white '79 shell to get shipped with the RX4 engine to Ontario .

I'm getting the white '79 repainted black throughout and bought a set of black interior parts over the winter for it from various places ( forum , ebay, kijjij, mazda etc.. Its getting a '91 turbo 2 engine put in this spring . Hopefully will get it back out here for the summer or fall

I fixed the broken power antenna on the 89 vert with a new mazda part .

Also bought brand NEW OEM badges for the 1st gens from mazda . WOW are they nice . You don't need to go to Black Dragon or ebay for these used and they are cheaper form Gerry Gordons ... talk to MARK in parts if you want some of these . They were found in warehouses in the US and Japan. Were generally less than $C 20 a piece, and no shipping charges through mazda

The FD is out on the roads

Whooo hoooooo.

Still keeping the winter tires on the Subaru STi in case it snows, which I still expect to happen, but otherwise the RX-7 becomes the daily driver (fair weather driver).
