That's sweet! I have them posted all over! + I didn't do DGRR last year, I had to work . I own property out there though, and go for vacations that I just drive my car in the Mountains for days and I never get tired of it! I'm going this year but staying in Gatlinburg, I'll make sure to grab a sharpie when I do the dragon this year.
I'm leaving thursday morning and returning tuesday if anyone wants to cruise along.

djphonics, thanks for the lodging for myself & Scottish. We'll get together the weekend after this for a pint and to sort out what we owe you. It's cabin #50 where the pints will flow free.
Thanks again one more thing out of the way, just got to finish the work on the FD with 3 months and counting.
cheers

As we get closer to the event we need to make a list of who is going, when people are leaving, contact #'s and cabins such that we can all at least get together. The weekend goes by fast and there is so much to do we could book cabins beside each other and not even see the other group.
Either way can't wait.
Our cabin is booked friday, saturday and sunday. Hoping to leave thursday morning early. I may have to meet everyone across the border (Leave earlier then most) as I might get flagged again like last year. Don't want another 3 to 4 hour delay...

Once february hits we should consider planning a route for those who want to cruise down from Ontario. I'm leaving with a small contingient from the GTA (near yorkdale...actually anyone want to meet up at yorkdale?) and am thinking of just taking the shortest google map route there which looks pretty good and also takes me by Pittsburgh so i can drop my parents off at a work conference on the way.
Anyone here have a Nexus card btw?

A good point.
2Fierce, if you're hitching a ride with me, go apply for one now so you will have it with plenty of time to spare...or i'm sticking you with the redbull and beef jerky bill for the trip :P....or throwing you in the Mini Cooper.

the wird, i believe there is still one cabin left but it has 'that really steep driveway no one wants' as lucie put it, providing i remember correctly. I plan on leaving the Wednesday, as i want to be there on the Thursday night. Definitely closer to the date we can discuss caravans.

Booked our cabin this morning. Need to register tonight.
We are staying the same place we did last year, the "Watershed Cabins" which are a few miles down the road. A little fancier with a bunch of space between the cabins for privacy. We aren't big party people and wanted to stay somewhere that will let us escape the noise and crowds... plus there were a few incidents of some cars getting keyed last year etc.
Right now, I think we have 3 cars going for sure (and a couple more maybe's) to represent Atlantic Canada.
At the moment, I think we have 3 people splitting a cabin that will sleep 13, so may be able to sublet out a futon or something to somebody that also wants to be off site.

A suggestion... if you choose the I-77 route which I highly recommend...
Stage the cars before the East River Tunnel, get your video cameras ready, put your windows down and wind up your rotary's as you pack through the 5412 foot tunnel. It's a glorious sound.
One vid of the tunnel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnOU3...eature=related

As far as I know the nexus card is basically a pre approval for boarder crossing. You have to go through an application process, but once you have it you just go through the nexus lane at the boarder and you don't get stopped at all. You just show the card and away you go.
