We aren't big party people and wanted to stay somewhere that will let us escape the noise and crowds... plus there were a few incidents of some cars getting keyed last year etc.
Right now, I think we have 3 cars going for sure (and a couple more maybe's) to represent Atlantic Canada.
At the moment, I think we have 3 people splitting a cabin that will sleep 13, so may be able to sublet out a futon or something to somebody that also wants to be off site.
Looking forward to our caravan, want to make up for canceling at the last minute last year.

Looks like I might have missed the boat on the cabins. Anyone have one booked with space for one or maybe two people? If not I believe Phil has mentioned campgrounds in the area so I might try that.

^ Did some window clings for the RX-8 club a year ago did not go over that well, been tempted to try it here at a later date.
The sticker I'm doing are more for a guardrail on the dragon, more to say we were there as a group from Ontario in 2011.

Here's my RX-8club thread if your interested:

I believe we will be crossing in Houlton or Calais Maine and then jumping on the I-95, 295, 84, 78, 81 something like that. What way are you guys taking. I think there is going to be a couple caravans already, it would be cool if we all met up.

RXeckless let me know when you get these stickers printed, I'd like to get some to post on the way, and around gatilburg and the reservation. I ran out of the others I got from you, I think I got 4 or 6 pages before and 2 sheets of clings. I'd bring the clings if I were you and slang them to the Canadian groups en caravanserai.
I'd been posting four doors for more ****** and add oil stickers all around the D.
I've got some zoom-zoom stickers and mazdaspeed stickers for the trip too.
Paste it up everywhere!

I agree, I haven't even started to work out our trip. The cabin we got is booked from the thursday-saturday nights, and i know the other cabin was friday-saturday, so i doubt we'll be able to work something out for everyone. But I figure the more canucks in a caravan, the stronger we look! ARRRR!!! Closer to the date, we'll have to post route plans, with caravan groups.

Guys i have some bad news. I just found out I got into the MBA program @ Western. If I don't hear back from one of the American universities by the end of the week (they start in september), I will have to start the program in March.

if that happens I won't be able to go to DGRR and my 2 bedroom (6 person sleeper) cabin will become available. Will have a definit answer by the end of the week.

I would have loved to come this year, but I don't think there 's any way I could miss 3 days of what I'm sure will be an packed program and then catch up again.

my 91na just crapped out... again! Luckily I've got a spare s5 motor to fix it with ease

I'm registered, booked & extremely excited to drive the Dragon for the first time! I almost went last year but my pockets were empty & my 4cyl chevy s-10 would've made for a lame first time haha

now I've got 3 months to fix the Fc or Fd (my #1 money pit).. I'm just waiting for the snow to clear up so i can push a 7 in the shop.. the sooner the better

Myself & Scottish will be driving down on the Sunday as well, probably buy tickets at the gate. That was our plan since we registered but the parade lap sounds like a great idea.
How did you get the parade lap did not see it on the site.
cheers TGIF

Near the bottom under track tour. I figured I would buy the tickets. This way it will force me to wake up sunday morning at 6am to drive down since I put out the money already

We're currently planning to head down to Road Atlanta for Sunday as well. I think somebody is going to have to organize a caravan down on Sunday, especially if we can find somebody who knows the way to follow. Would make for an impressive site if a bunch of us roll in together.. and reduce the chances of getting lost.

We are keeping our cabin through Sunday, so will spend the night back in Bryson City, and then get an early start home on Monday.

That sounds awesome. Caravan will work if everyone can get up early enough. I don't want to miss anything on sunday as we missed the rest of the week as is. I already have the track programmed into my GPS

Going to be an awesome weekend.....

We'll have to sort something out as the day approaches. Not sure how many cars are in our little caravan from Halifax yet (we have 3 committed so far, with a couple more maybes) but if I'm going that far anyway, what's a couple more hours to Road Atlanta?

I think Hevnsnt and I will be heading out that way too.
Looks like a decent caravan heading down from the GTA.

It's going to be an interesting drive!

I'm considering Mitty a bit more now. I'll keep thinking more about it.

It was nice meeting you for the NAIAS, Neo! Lafayette Coney Island FTW.
