I might just tag along with you for that, provided I don't break down this year.

By the look of things its not that far away (I think someone said it was 2 or 3 hours away from deals gap?) so even if we have the cabin on sunday we can leave super early sunday morning spend the day at the mitty then head back for a nights stay back at the cabin. Then do the gap monday then slowly head our way back home

I tried to look up the website to see what is planned on sunday. Hopefully they still have a few things going on otherwise it might not be worthwhile trip?

wasn't I with you too when you got pulled over marco?

Verdict is: don't drive a blue FD.

Oh yeah, if you do get a ticket, don't whine about it (not saying you are Marco). Those State Troopers know why we're there and what we are doing, so if only a few guys walk away with a speeding ticket they're being nice. I'm surprised they don't have more cars patrolling during the day.

thats being pennywise and pound foolish.

FD's aren't bad on the highway - at least mine wasn't.

But the fun you'll miss out on by taking a honda vs your fun car is HUGE. in fact I'd bet you'll have a WORSE time showing up in a boring car than if you didn't come at all!

I was doing ~600km to the tank when I drove down there. But then again that is tuned to run lean while cruising.

why even entertain the idea of taking a civic to deals gap ROTARY rally when you have an awesome rotary powered car?
+1 for it not being as bad as you think for gas.

Bringing a Civic to DG Rotary Rally is like going to a party and not bringing any booze. Why don't you post in this thread for a co-driver to help with the costs.
Sorry about the sarcasm the day after Christmas, it's one of my New Year's resolutions to give up sarcasm and smoking. I believe it will be easier to give up the smoking.
ah more nicotine.

I'm already putting away some cash for this trip.

Just gotta make sure I schedule the time off, and we'll see if the weather co-operates for then.

I'm looking forward to this!

I'll probably have an empty passenger seat, so if anyone wants to go but doesn't want to or can't bring their own car the offer is there.

Registration is open folks, get yourselves signed up. I'm registered. We can get the cabin for an extra night, Thursday or Sunday if we rent it for Friday and Saturday. I'd book it but my CC is maxed out at the moment.

NVNC will also give following discounts.

** BONUS: one night free (Thursday or Sunday) if room is rented for both Fri and Sat nights
** 20% off if booked before 1/15/2011
** 15% off between 1/16 and 2/15

** 10% off between 2/16 and 3/15
** 5% off between 3/16 and 4/15

** NO DISCOUNT after 4/16 til the event

The sooner the cabin is booked the cheaper it will be for everyone. Also as our past experiences have shown, there will be no issues in the booker being paid before we get there.

I'm registered as well as I have a cabin booked. Seeing as how there are way too many people for one cabin, I made arrangements with people already and have filled the cabin I booked. I didn't see the point of one person booking all the cabins and throwing out that kind of cash at once. If someone else wants to book a cabin and organize a group for it that would be best.
