Maybe nitrous next year, for this year i added the snow performance water methanol injection and a demon 650 double pumper. With the meth I am able to run full stock timing with no detonation. Will it finally hit 200 now, aaaaaaaah maybe...maybe not. Yeah I know, could'a got more with a TII swap, live and learn, but it does deliver as promised, 30-35% over stock. To do it over again, I would've stayed n/a with a different arrangement.

Brett, perhaps you should start a new meeting thread (since it's gonna be at your place) where all can stay on topic.

I fixed my RX-7, long *** time ago. Everytime I asked for help from someone, it was the excuse game. So I made it a point to help others fix their RX-7's from what I learned.

And whats wrong with Nitrous?

Hell, I didn't even start this thread! But I think a new one would only confuse people. Better to somehow bring this one back on track.

Speaking of "bringing", what would you like to bring to the BBQ?

Easy way out. Nitrous on a rotary for the most part anways is used by guys to mask the fact their setup is ****, their motor build is weak, and they can't make power anyother way.

im heading down there tonight because Max found a few more things that the "specialist" royaly screwed up. the plug firing order was all screwed up because the connectors were hooked up wrong which explains the timing issues we were having, chances are there's a 2nd gen e-shaft in my 3rd gen engine and the new rebuilt engine pulled a whopping 70psi on a compression test. well below the rebuild psi of 100 on a 3rd gen. the 3mm seals are no doubt warped and who knows what else was used inside the engine. wouldn't be suprised if it has wooden rotors in it. i think the "specialist" needs a new specialty like basket weeving or knitting or something. he shouldnt be hacking up cars. as for the carbon fibre , i'm deffinitely gonna paint it. i'm not a huge fan of mismatched body panels and im not crazy about vinyl graphics either.

Sounds like the coil wiring was *** backwards (not the first time I've seen that form Adam's shop) Which explains alot of the timing issues. A 2nd gen e shaft in a REW is not anything new, seen that from Adam before as well. 70psi comp sounds about right for one of his motors. Just a **** show down there at RX-7 Specialties. Hopefully you and Max can take it for a spin at get a little tuning done.

I've actually posted a detailed set of directions on this thread a page or so back. It's not a hard place to find but the drive is easily 45 to 50 minutes from downtown Calgary.

As for what to bring, Tiana and I have the following bases covered:

1. The location: 208 3rd Street N.W. BLACK DIAMOND (not Calgary!), AB at around 1pm-ish.

2. The condiments: ketchup, mustard, relish, mayo, salad dressing, napkins, paper plates, forks, knives, etc.

3. *Some* of the beverages: a couple cases of soft drinks, iced tea, etc.

The following items we need volunteers for:

1. A gas BBQ complete with bbq utensils.

2. A deck table and chairs. (the deck has seating around its perimeter and we have a small round table with chairs, but another one would make things much easier).

BTW: if you would like to volunteer a table and chairs but have no truck to get it here pm me--- we have a pickup and can arrange to pick it up ahead of time and drop it off again after the meet.

3. Burgers.

4. Weiners.

5. Buns.

6. A cooler full of ice.

7. More beverages. You can't go wrong with non-alcoholic, but beer would be nice if you feel you need it. We're a little nervous about guests getting blitzed and then trying to drive.

8. A potato salad or two.

9. A tossed salad or two.

Beyond that, any other ideas are most welcome. Let the volunteering begin.
