The world is a very small place.
But I'll be stopping in Canada at least 4 more times in the coming year.

I feel much the same as NCLBNY. I'm close to okotoks so not even a half hour away, so I'd like to come and bring my FD if I have time, awkward as it would be not knowing anyone

Man, this uncomfortable/shy affliction is getting to be an epidemic--- an absolutely terrible affliction to have, especially for those guys who are single and hoping to score some nookie.

Just show up with a six pack and everybody will recognize you as one of the wizened all-knowing rotary disciples. BTW, Black Diamond is only 15 minutes from Okotoks--- or 5 minutes by FD.

Scott,
had the car insured for 2 days. The turbo spooled to 1.6 bar at 4500rpm then motor popped.
no damage to the turbo thank god, but I go abck to school in Sept. so the car will be on hold for another year. Maybe longer.. contemplating parting out all of my performance stuff and start again another year

Well this is getting interesting...I missed last years mazda in the mountains b/c I just had my FD rebuilt and when i showed pple were heading to the hills...well i couldnt boost or anything so got left in the dust...didnt have directions to the spot either so I missed out...surprising to see the FD collection growing...would be nice to get together and get some things straight on these cars...

I'd be in for the 25th
Lets make it a good one!!

I might be out, but as it stands Im in. My dad is throwing a huge 3 day bash at a multi-million dollar seculded Island cottage on the weekend of the 25th. Im invited, but I have to pay airfare. Its not often my entire family gets together in one place. I think last time was 1990, and I was just getting out of diapers.

Might go. I need a vacation.

The 25th might work for me, so tentatively say I'm in (as far as I know it works, never know if the wife has something planned tho'!). BTW, b@@sted_fd, saw your car a few weeks ago when I was down at Max's - very sweet, I've always loved that Monteray Blue on an FD.

I saw the same FD when I popped by there a few days ago. Definitely a nice car.

As for how to get here for the meet, the address is 208 3rd st. N.W. Black Diamond. The town is so small that dividing it up into sectors like Northwest, Southeast, etc seems ludicrous--- yet they went ahead and did it anyway.

The place is easy to find. There's a 4-way stop in the middle of town where highway 7 (east-to-west) meets up with hwy 22, which heads south.

If you're coming in via Okotoks just take the Deerfoot southbound and then take the hwy 2-A exit to Okotoks. Continue driving straight through Okotoks until you come out the other side of town. Turn right (westbound) at hwy 7 (it's well-marked, indicating Black Diamond traffic turns right) and follow that highway westbound for the 10-minute drive to Black Diamond. Once you reach the 4-way stop go straight through. 3rd street N.W. is the third right after the 4-way stop, just before the strip mall on the right. Our house is about 1-1/2 blocks down on the right.

If you're coming in from the west (Turner Valley, Priddis, Bragg Creek, etc.) it's even easier. As soon as you cross over the bridge coming into town you'll first see a gas station/car wash/convenience store on your left, followed by the strip mall also on your left. Take the first left onto 3rd st. N.W., just past the strip mall. Our house is 1-1/2 blocks down on your right.

I have a DFP; if I can make it out I'll definately bring the wheel if you wanna get GT4 going.

Dammit! I blew a oil cooler line I think... I'll be looking into it tomorrow. I want to come down for the meet but if it is a little more than just a blown line then I will be starting the single turbo conversion while I am pulling everything else off. I'll keep you guys posted.

All RX-7 trannies bolt to all series' no problem. Its the other parts that need to be fit. Mounts, electronics, driveshafts.

If all else fails, you can grab a tranny for $900 from our resident calgary RX-7 shop.

True, and thanks for the info, now i just have to figure out this other new sound coming from my engine, sounds like the turbo because it only occures when it starts boosting. either way i will do my best to get to this meet, and no more drag racing, I break msomething every time.
