Just an Ontarians 2 cents.
Agreed. A little diplomacy and reconciliation (even when you know you're in the right--- no matter which side of an argument you are sitting on) goes a long way toward getting results and preserving credibility.

Of course, there are always new members with new gripes and not necessarily the mature people skills to deal with them who will show up on the forum from time to time. But if a business owner or group of customers have established a track record of settling differences amicably over a period of time rather than fanning the flames of resentment the likelihood of the newbie's rant getting blown up into an all-out war would be substantially reduced.

Ya don't get me wrong. I've seen way to much poor work come out of RX-7 Specialties to ever encourage anyone to bring their car there. And many of these things I don't believe to be one time only happened once problems. I believe there are serious defincencies there, in both engine building and service work. Perhaps I'm able to recognize these deficiences more readily? Not sure.

Regardless of all that I don't think that if you use RX-7 Specialties you should be branded with the "scarlet letter". And I'll try to avoid saying "I told you so" if something goes wrong.

I say the unbiased bystanders can set up the stands, the instigators can fill the pool with mud and the divided few that have the beefs can jump in and fight it out. We'll throw a few Hooters girls in there for entertainment as well. I wanna be the first to hose them off though (the girls!)

Even if you don't like RX-7's work I think we'd all be better off from a closer-knit community... Even just supplying parts I think Adam could play a very valuable role to even the do-it-yourselfers, from a business stand-point. And things like track days or dyno days would only help as well.

Anyways, I very much appreciate the sentiment of your last post Adam.

Adam has been good with parts for me, when I thought I needed an ignition switch we rooted through his supply stock to get a match and he let me just take it and swap it out to test. He's always been good to me.

I have greatly increased respect for anyone who is at least willing to admit mistakes have been made, -- but I think issues would be better fixed if that person would call the people who are complaining, try to resolve the issues with them at (his) own expense, and let them do the talking about how sorry he is (was).

If a shop owner does that, then they can't have anything but good feedback, right?

Are you right? Sure I suppose to some extent. But once again as you said actions speak louder than words. If you offer the world and deliver a steaming pile of ****, then at some point it won't matter what you offer you simply can't deliver.
