Waiting on a bunch of details to get worked out. One of which is cleaning up the AC Pulley. Pulling it off requires a 10mm socket, some C clip pliers and a bearing removal tool or other method to remove bearing like a press or worst case a socket and a hammer.

How it initially looked.

So I thought I was going to get away with leaving it on, hand sanding the rust and hitting it with some high temp rattle can paint... That wasn't going to work out.

You can see the C Clip holding it on.

Off the car but bearing still in place as well as the back side of the clutch for the compressor.

Bearing removed. You can see the locations I hit the tabs near the center that were holding the bearing in. Screw driver and hammer for that.

It's getting media blasted and powdercoated satin black. They will tape off the clutch portion as I didn't see a good way to remove it and don't believe it's necessary for the process.

If you want to replace the Bearing like me then use the OEM one.
AC Compressor OEM Clutch Bearing NSK 30BD5222DUM6 A/C

It's a 30mm IDx 52mm ODx 22mm made by NSK.

Looking good buddy! Nice to see you cleaning things up as you go along too. I'm a glutton for degreaser and rags galore!

As for the heat... Get your *** to Lowes and get a big adjustable fan! Doing work in MS can be brutal but a nice fan makes ALL the difference! Otherwise, I'm drenched in 5 min with sweat.

Keep up the good work!

The Ohlins arrived. Unfortunately I put the hats on the rear shocks that go on the fronts and vice versa for the photos.

Yes Sir, the holes are in the rear, as the saying goes

Super nice shots bud, I'm sure once they're installed you'll be loving life

The heat was getting to him. Or the anticipation of riding on those fly coil overs.

My car is now slammed with his old setup.

Known as the "lift kit", my Koni yellows and stock springs sat at 26.25" all around. Give or take.

Now I have ZooomZooms Tein Super Streets. The rear dropped an inch or so. The front quite a bit more. Sitting at 24.25". Time to raise it back up.

Thanks on the Pics SilverTRD; you may actually see some of my photography of the products I purchase from my favorite RX-7 parts supplier and Club Vendor SakeBomb Garage.
They still make, support and offer some top notch product for our cars while many companies have stopped due to it being such a small market. I do my best to support forum vendors and have purchased most everything for my build from SakeBomb Garage, Banzia Racing and IR Performance.
I have currently spent over $20k on this build just to this point not including the car. I would say I am 3/4 of where I plan to be with it. I still have a few large ticket items left but will probably stick with my turbo kit for now. It will need at least a new compressor wheel and I may do a GTX billet wheel as an upgrade. If I am not happy with the power after that I will pony up for a Turblown EFR Kit. I am looking at buying some land in the near future to build a mega garage/workshop so I may have to wait on all that as my priorities may change regarding the car for a bit.

In other news I am also 3/4 way done with the Ohlins install. I had an issue that stopped me cold with the lower control arm bushing not being wide enough to accommodate the bottom of the shock. I was about to do something stupid and GoodfellaFD3S told me I could press them back into the arm. They were stubborn so I made this and made them get sucked back into the arm with this bolt and nut contraption made from the Bolt and nut that holds the shock in.

It has just enough threads that you need to make some spacers so you can get tension on the bushing so it will back itself into the lower control arm.

Here is what I did.

Pretty sure this post is the perfect cue for the Spanky GIF. I hope you are smiling.

And thanks for the Teins.

Thanks for the comments, parts should be back from powdercoating so I can start some assembly. Seems like forever since I drove this thing! It's starting to get cool again. Need to get back on the road before snow falls!

Max I hope all is well and your new family is happy and healthy. Thanks for selling me a clean car for my project. It's been fun and can't wait to get it back on the road and out on track to see how it all came together.

Slow process but I got my first item back from powdercoating. The cross bar. It's coated in satin black and looks like an OEM paint color.
Should have my AC Pulley and AC/PS bracket back next week.

My cross bar had some significant rust on it and the media blast took it off but you can see how much metal was missing. Partially due to the old M2 stock mount sitting on it.

Did you ever consider the TurboJeff cross member? That thing was a work of art.

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...t-bar-1056124/

Might be hard to come by... but Jeff can usually be persuaded to do additional runs of products if there's enough interest.

I sold it and bought a Greddy Vmount Kit.
I did see that Turbojeff item and thanks for mentioning it.
