Once I get the exterior, audio, and security all done, I may try. Oh, and no big custom speaker box's here.

Took the car out today and it was solid. Wastegate is controlling perfectly with peak boost at 17.4psi, my exact spring pressure. Intake temps were constantly 32C (89F) and below. Knock never went above 21pts. It pulls and runs like a champ. 2nd gear lights up my 285's like nothing and 3rd is an animal.

VERY excited for Saturday.

Your car is already magazine ready!!!!!!

So its safe to say that the turbo, WI, WG and vmount are working good eh.

Saturday should be real fun, maybe you can get like 5 people to sit in the rear hatch and do the dyno like these guys (scoot or feed):

Ben

Good results today. 454whp 390ft/lbs at 23psi. Car feels awesome. Not bad for 90F ambient temps

A new CHRA may be in the cards still. Bearings may be dragging a little. I plan to keep checking everything and run it as is for now. Overall, I am pleased.

Good build. I am currently doing a build on a 93 rx7 and I was just saying how I was thinking of purchasing a RE V-mount system. Wow looks good and it appears to perform well. I was not sure what turbo to buy but I like that set up you have. Removed radiator yesterday and I purchased a microtech LT10. My car will be a street car in the state of Florida and it will see its ocasional track days at PBIR the road course. What boost are you running? Those numbers were impressive I hope to make that type of power with a stock motor. Once again nice project.

wow, that is a really broad power band. A whole lotta power under the curve. You have really good TQ numbers. And your keeping it all the way to 8K rpm...wow

how did the IC temps do on the dyno?

Nice build just took out my radiator yesterday to make room for a RE-V-mount intercooler. My project is still in the works and I like your setup. I did go with the LT10 Micro Tech computer I will have to see if it works well with my 93 rx7.

Intake temps stayed in the low 40's all day. Everything performed really well. Yes, I think the T3 really attributes to the fat torque curve. Spool is really quick and it pulls hard. We were breaking the tires loose continuously on 3rd gear pulls.

Its a blast to drive.

Took the FD for a drive this evening. It's an animal. Lights them up in 3rd with my 285 Hankooks. Nothing short of a blast.

I did notice my PFC recorded a 194 knock reading at some point. This is pretty ridiculously high. When I get on it, knock stays buried low. Intake temps are ice cold, and it runs great. Possibly road vibration? I do have IR Performance's stiff engine mounts. Everything seems healthy, but it does raise an eyebrow seeing a recorded reading that high.

I need to be datalogging....

This is monumental. My first chime in as an FD guy and it is on your build of all people!

A couple things...

Is the knock sensor older or have you replaced it at some point. Point being, 20 year old sensors tend to be incorrect as hell. You know this.

Second. You haven't got on it like you did this evening since it was tuned. Lightin' em up in third...damn ! Perhaps the noise of that monster gave you a high reading. I say this cause I was on the phone with you at the time and it was loud as hell. I think the PFC on my table showed you having a high reading over the noise on the phone bro, and that bitch is unplugged !! haha !

Did someone say IRP ?

Probably drivetrain noise. I wouldn't sweat it.... I know more than one FD owner who just unplug the OEM knock sensor, then jump on the road race course for some fun

Lol... The sensor may be old, not sure. It was in the new engine. From what I have read its common to see high knock under vacuum and other road conditions. 194 under boost and my engine would be in pieces. Most say anything over 40 is dangerous.

All seems fine. And yes, it's pretty damn quick.

Those knock reading are while the car is not under boost. I had extremely high reading like that every once in a while, I noticed that it would happen after deceleration started or just randomly, not under boost. I would not really worry about the number, If it was something to worry about, the engine would most likely be toast already.

Agreed. Thanks for the reassurance.

LOL... I thought about it, but I'll probably sit this one out. The wife is coming and I have a few close friends that will be there on the sidelines. I'll chill, have a few beers and keep my fingers crossed for some Sakebomb HID's

Just picked up a HKS EVC-S. I noticed about 1psi of creep from 20F cooler temps last night. I've been putting off getting a proper EBC for awhile. I like the simplicity of a manual setup, but it just can't compete. Should help my already lightning quick spool and control things proper through the seasons.

With this, I also plan to revamp my gauge setup. I'll be removing a few and keeping the essentials. Eventually, I'll shift towards the PLX digitals.
