Power Gaskets?

Hey just curious to see if anyone has these on their car. If you don't do you actually think they would make any difference? Everytime I get on Ebay I see the damn things and just wanted to know everyones opinion. Copy and paste the link.

I dunno....seems like it would be okay for a gasket, but to claim a 5% hp increase???

I believe these are the gaskets used by BDC for my motor, and from what he told me they're good stuff. There's no doubt that keeping the manifolds cool is a good thing, regardless of whether or not there's 5% hp to be found there.

I've seen a 6.5% HP drop on a dyno due to manifold heat soak. And that's only in 5 minutes.

I'm sure that the plastic gaskets would help over the stock metal ones. It won't prevent heatsoak, but it will help.

It would be interesting to see a dyno comparison with and without the gasket, but I'm willing to bet that the radiant heat in the engine compartment heats up the manifold just as much as anything conducted through the LIM. No way will you gain 5% with those gaskets.
