IRP and Ihor are solid. They are valuable to the community. Let’s not destroy them. There aren’t many left. Everyone has a tough stretch at points in their life. This all could be a personal situation or just a result of this **** business environment we are all dealing with in our personal careers and lives. There is no question that post Covid there is a new normal on the business front and my guess is that it’s here to stay for atleast a decade. People are not motivated. They got a glimpse of whatmore time with the family feels during Covid and are also sick and tired of wages NOT not keeping pace with the cost of living. We are at a tipping point and somethint is going to give. Mark my words. The system has been broken for a very long time and the straw broke the camels back. This is probably a good thing
with that said, Ihor/irp it’s clear you are having troubles with customer service. My recommendation is to own it. Just be transparent. Especially to paying customers.

I don't get it. During this flare up it looked like issues were going to be resolved. I got multiple emails the same day saying it was almost ready, which I responded to had no issue. Then one day I was working and received a call but couldn't pick it up as I was on a call. I've since emails multiple times and can't get a response...again. Now it's been another 45 days since last contact when it was supposedly about ready.
IRP is one of my favorite shops, and I've spent thousands over the years. We need some customer service here. Not asking for much, a simple reply to an email to set expectations on a date. Going forward, would recommend not taking people's money for half a year and not having a product. Build inventory then sell the inventory.

I have emailed 3 times over the last month and also left a voicemail back to you after the call today.
I have a pineapple racing oil pan. Looks like it adds about 1/8" of extra depth in the motor mount attaching point vs stock pan. Happy to take a standard length mount and cut it myself if that is the issue.

See my post here, I still have no idea where my car is.
Promised 6-8 weeks now I'm 3 month and my latest update was that there is no ETA an no Update when I called and spoke to Paul.
My wife is on my case daily on where the car is, being this is my only car in NYC I have been shipping money out of my pocket to cover this
AND I HAVE No idea where and when my car will be done.
I have been very patient so far and up to a breaking point right now, was recommended by a friend it is just very very disappointing at this time.
I am 10g without a car, nothing new.

EDIT:
I reached out to Igor, and Paul reach out to me this morning and explained some of the misinformation and unfortunate coincidental I have with providing parts and the timeline. All of the confusion is cleared up now so hopefully, I should be able to get my car back soon. In short, they never promised me the timeline and they were probably right since they have recordings, Paul did tell me the correct information. My car was already in the works.
A few weeks ago the oil cooler supplier marked my product as shipped, I ordered this way before the car went to IR and did not know there was an engine issue and figured the coolers wont take too long.
However I never got the oil cooler and since I informed Paul it was shipped, they sold the on-shelf unit to someone else the reason for the delay
Paul explained to me about the staffing situation and working at a dealership trying to find Stuff I understand
So it is entirely my fault, sorry if I bothered anyone on this thread.

IRP got me
I like to add on going issue with IRP. On Aug 14 2021 I order a fuel kit to a total of $1520.20. And just like everyone I had a hard time getting ahold of them and when I did they just told me bull **** and lies with supply issues and workforce issues. I gave them the benefits of the doubt and even ordered a under the manifold ignition kit after they told me they had it ready to ship. Haha. They even took 3 months to get to me. But back to the fuel kit I waited a almost a whole year and still nothing. Some how I was able to get ahold of some on their IG page and they said they would give me a refund and I would get it in 5-10 business days. That time has came and gone. I don’t want to get the police involved but what other course of action do I have. And if someone from IRP see this. I just want a refund to move on.

Maybe my experience has been different, but I ordered the upgraded powder coated alternator last year. They communicated up front a certain lead time, I was able to call and speak with Paul a few times on the phone and my order arrived earlier than the date they had quoted to me.

Super helpful and attentive when you have a pocket full of money, but not so much once you've handed that cash over?
Addicted bent me over so hard. I gave them 8K up front and waited over 2 years to get my car back on the road. I ended up spending twice that, sorting out all the shady ****. The engine they sent me was so full of used parts, mistakes and short cuts.
Jose and Kevin, don't feel too bad. Rotary shops are basically playing Monopoly with our money at this point. It's the one reason I may sell my FD, because when it inevitably blows up again, I really don't know who to turn to.
If ONE shop built good engines and didn't act like this, they'd get rich and this community would be much better off.

I'm doing something similar, using a meticulous shop that focuses on Nissans for my general build, and having the motor rebuilt by Adam at REC. Adam doesn't appear to play the social media clout chasing game, and the only real complaint I could find about his motors came from someone who tried to swap the front cover/stack with the engine installed..
My build isn't done yet, so I can't speak to actual results yet though..

That's exactly what I've been doing, fendamonky.
It's a Porsche mechanic so even with my little discount I still pay through the nose, but at least I know the person working on the car is competent. I actually shipped the last engine to Addicted after doing research and seeing nothing but good reviews. I had a few extra bucks and wanted to buy the best for my FD. They haven't posted here in years now, and it turns out Karack, a local guy who used to post here on this club, built a much better engine than they did anyway. for a lot less cash.
The demise of Karack/Ben's engine (not to mention my tripoint turbos) was the "Don't trust anyone to tune your car when you're not present" lesson I learned.

$5,899.99 new REW ordered 9-09-2021 just over a year ago. after multiple excuses and an outright refusal to refund he says he has 2 lists for these engines. 1 for internet orders and one for in-person/phone orders and he plays with the list as needed to help guys out who buy more stuff..............

This is so sad to see a company with such a good reputation in the past turn to pure crap.
It’s one thing to have delays due to supply shortages but it’s another to completely ignore and hold peoples money hostage for such a long period of time. There is a acceptable time frame and then there is just a point when you know your doing customers wrong when you go out out of the way to obviously ignore customers who have Reasonably justified a refund.
It’s apparent by the overwhelming amount of members with the same story that until
@IRPerformance resolves current customer issues and shows that they are fully making an effort to do the community better under all circumstances that they are not a company people should be supporting.
This is disappointing as I had planned to have a few motors built by them and back in thier prime days have spent money with them without giving it a second thought.
Hoping they resolve these issues and get back to running a company the community can count on.

The truly unfortunate thing is that it seems like public shaming is the only way to get resolutions here.
I remember blacklisting rx7store.net from future personal purchases for far less back in 2007-2008.
