Lightbulb Install of Autometer A/F Ratio Meter

Trying to install Autometer AF ratio meter, do you suggest taking signal from O2 sensor, or catch wire at ECU !? I've heard both are possible, but which is cleaner / easier !?

Also any ideas on brightening up Autometer boost gauge ? Lights are much dimmer than rest of dash, hard to see at night.... plus they don't seem to be wire into dimmer... any pin outs for the dash that I could hook into to use the dimmer to control brightness for all gauges, incl. Aftermarket, or will the dimmer be able to handle the extra voltage !?

Derek

i hooked my boost gauge to the dimmer wiring, i tapped into the ash tray light, it dimms with the rest of the gauges, and yes it can handle the extra gauge

Unhappy I still need help??

Ok so I have the Autometer a/f ratio gauge and have searched and searched but can not find which wire at the ECU is the one I want to tap on to. Please if N E one is able to give a good description of what wire on the stock ECU is the O2 senser that I need to tap onto for this gauge to work. And please save your breath on how useless this guage is because I have already spent the money. If you R really butt hurt about the fact that I did buy it at all you might want to know that it was bought from http://www.gadgetseller.com/gauges/index.htm

A/F meter is a waste of time and money... just get an EGT gauge, much more reliable and accurate than just some lights bouncing around...

only A/F meter that is good is a wideband 02.

dont use stock O2 meter or any aftermarket A/F ratio/egt meter to tune your car!!! use only a lambda/wideband O2 meter!!! BTW: if you wanted to know, just hook it up to the ecu.
