Will this gasket work?

I opted to go the cheap route for my exhaust manifold gasket. Oreilly had it for $16.99 compared to $90-something on mazdatrix. You can see my issue in the picture:

The small hole that doesn't line up, what is it for? If it's emissions related then I'm just going to use the gasket the way it is since I deleted all of that.

That opening is for the EGR passage, only for emissions purposes. I'd be wary of a parts store exhaust gasket, as a rotary's exhaust temperature is brutally high and will destroy cheap copies. Can't really go wrong with a OE Mazda gasket.

No,
That is an N/A gasket, and you have a turbo. This is why the holes do not match up.
I do not think the N\A gasket would have a long life with the extreme heat of a turbo.

That hole is for port injection from the ACV into the exhaust ports, not EGR.

no its for EGR, the air injection goes into the exhaust sleeves

My advice is go ahead and try. You have much to gain and nothing really to lose, except the illusion that rotary exhaust will melt any material on earth without a Mazda part number or a Racing Beat emblem embossed.

Let us know if it works out and holds up.

Cut that one section and flip it...(look at it..you can do it..it will line up).Make it look like an FD exhaust gasket.but stick the whole thing onto the engine.like it was "still one gasket".
.you only paid 16 bucks for it!(part of being cheap..work with what you got)
The only real area that you are concerned about is the Exhaust holes..not the Flat parts inbetween the two exhaust outlets.

I've run the NA exhaust gasket on a turbo car. It held up for 10K. Not sure after that because it was disassembled. Gasket didn't appear to be failing though that really doesn't speak to long term use.
