Sure, go ahead. It can't hurt anything, and you don't have aircare on the island. Just keep in mind sound quality and flow is not nearly as good as compared to a straight pipe.

Since your a Canadian, and I'm a Canadian. We're both from BC, maybe you would
Know of a good mechanic in Victoria. I also have another question.
I'm thinking of punching out my cats on my 88 GXL... It's non turbo... Bad idea?
Going to try and clean them first but we'll see what happens. There is just
No pressure at the tail pipe and she's a dog when I put my foot down.

I bought my synchros and seals straight from Mazda. I took my old bearings to a bearing supply house and got them to get me some high quality bearings: cheaper than mazda, and more balls.
I don't have any pictures. I don't tend to take pictures while working; mostly just of the finished products. I did my best to copy the pictures of the tools in the fsm.
I can't comment on the ebay kit; I have no experience with it.

Hey thanks for your advice. I am in the navy and I am a nuclear qualified welder and also a lathe and mill oprator. Could you send some pics of the puller you made. I have a hydraulic press available for use as well. I see the rebuild as a better alternative as well. Also when you did your rebuild where did you get your syncos and bearings/ seals. I found a kit on ebay for 150. I am just looking for a cost effective fix that I can learn something while doing. I have the FSM available for use so I feel I have every needed resource except for the bearing puller. Also would the ebay kit be all right?
