Placement of jackstands

I am changing my front brake pads this afternoon. I have two jackstands and the jack from the trunk. Where would you guys reccomend placing the jackstands?

The frame cross-member. Its right behind your front axle, and runs parallel with it.

or what NRA said, lol...

yeah, dont put it on the stop sign looking rails that run along the length of the car...they bend bad.

There is a perfect spot on either side of the front crossmember for jackstands. It only sucks when you are changing the oil.

ya i wouldnt use the stock jacks to do anything more than change a tire in an emergency those things scare me. get a real jack and ramps and jackstands and chucks. have seen/had too many close calls and remember to set the parking brake and put it in gear and take the key out (not to sound like your mother or anything)

The TII is too low to drive on ramps. Have to jack it up and put them under the tires.
