Tuning actual load/boost problem on the main map.

How do I get the main fuel map to read actual load/boost?

I have my GM MAP sensor set to MAP as load in the MAP Sensor options. I also tried MAP as voltage and as well as TPS % and voltage. All seem to read the same on the left vertical points. I know this because if I go full throttle with my boost set to 6psi, with the follow me checked, I will tuning at the very top line which is 24 psi... I'm obviously not at 24psi, but since the throttle is fully depressed, it reads the very top line. Basically reading throttle placement. Not actual load/boost.

I would like to be able to tune by actual vacuum and boost. What setting do I choose for this?

If it matters, I am not using boost comp. I am tuning cell by cell.

This is for AEM EMS V1 using AEM Pro software.

the load points are the y axis on the table. ( column )

Have you calibrated the map sensor. aka have you gone into map wizard and select your specific gm map sensor, or measured the output of the sensor and filled in the table ?

it seems you have the boost/load on your map, but it is not reading / calibrated correctly.

also, do you have speed density turned off ?

just go to Setup > Sensors > Manifold Pressure sensor > Options - and turn "speed density" on

Yes all of that is done. I believe I just have a bad MAP sensor. I went through everything else. I'm going to swap out the MAP sensor and see if it makes the difference.

Have you watched this how-to series? This episode deals with boost control.

I have not gotten a new MAP sensor just yet. Too many cars... Too little time.

When connected and you move the throttle does the Fuel map move vertical? If so you may need to set the MAP analog input to MAP Volts. There was a bug in the v1.18 firmware conversion that caused this the be incorrect.

I never updated this but I fixed it. There was a wire T'eed into the wire I was using for my MAP sensor signal. This was confusing the ECU and reverting to TPS signal. I cut the wire and all is good now.
