Yeah, I'm going to have to get more pictures taken of this hood. Hopefully I will get them faster than these pictures. But what do you think so far?? I do know for a fact that the lip is between .75" to 1" tall for the front vent. Not nearly as high on the rear vent.

I am still undecided.... with the primered surface, and the multicolored car the hood is installed on, it is hard to see the contours of the hood and how it would flow with the look of the car. I'm kind of not feeling how sharp the angles are on the vents as it looks in its unpainted state.

I do agree that it will be so much easier to tell once we have a painted one installed on a car. Mine will surely be the first one installed, but I'm not sure who will be the first person to have one on and painted.

Also, the first 10-12 people that buy this hood will be getting a lower price than everyone after that. Especially since we have a good sized group of people for the first batch. Just wanted to throw that out there.

5one5 maybe you should sell with the hood a small cap for this opening so N/A owners or people who don't like it can choose to cap and block it off.

great Idea? I thought so too.

looks great but that lil vent is "ricey" to me i dont see it being any help. how much are these things going to cost? this is the first hood that i have seen that matches the car(apart from that vent) the lines are perfect and it doesnt look like the design came from another car with a more curvy body. Thanks guys looks good. i will sure as hell miss my slighty offset t2 hood though....

I'm kinda feeling the same way.

One of the reasons why I like the panspeed hood is because the vent has nice curves. If you look at it from a top view, the curvature of the vent is very similar to the curve of the front end of the car. To me that is just seems to flow better with the car visually, and has less of the aggressive "look at me!" look to it.

The vent also looks smaller on this hood. I thought it was supposed to be bigger, but I don't remmember.

By the way, whats with the evil pumpkin man on the front of the hood? He's freakin me out!

Holy **** I didn't see that guy. The panspeed vent isn't angled either. Thats a damn good looking hood and design. Any pics of the underside? I'm just not a big fan of that little vent whatsoever. You could get a turbo blanket or heatwrap the downpipe and it would cut back on a significant amount of heat under the hood. I wanted it to have a vent along the rear towards the windshield. I guess its all about the application.

If you wanted the vent a little larger you could always take a little more material out like so (photoshopt)

The smaller turbo vent is on there and will be there to stay. Sorry to those of you who don't like it. It would set us WAY back to remake a new hood minus the small vent. And no, we aren't planning on making a cap for the rear vent either.

Juiceh, the vent is wider than the Panspeed vent IIRC. I'm not sure if it is longer front to back or not though. Also, the lip on the front of ours is actually concave vs. 98% of other vented hoods on the market so it will function the way it's supposed to. Now for the pumpkin guy, I honestly hadn't noticed that. Must be those Canadians playing jokes on us again.

DarkKnight, glad to hear that you like the hood. And you do have a good point. If anyone would want the vent bigger, they could always cut out material. Afterall, it is a fiberglass hood. But if you modify your hood and end up cutting off too much material 5one5 Innovations will not give you a refund! I just wanted to throw that out there. I honestly don't think that anyone will need to remove any material though. Also, the underside looks like the underside of any stock hood. And when the fiberglass hoods are made, they will have the same type of skeleton as a stock hood. Unless there is something on the underside you are wanting to see that I haven't thought of.

I haven't received any PM's though. Is nobody seriously interested in getting in on the first batch of these?? I'm not even going to bother making the first production hood until I have 5 deposits. And the hoods will be $750 shipped. The price went up thanks to material and manufacturing costs. But we are trying to get the price back down by saving on shipping. More to come with that though.

I was not trying to come off as offended or angry in my post. I just wanted to try and answer everyone's questions. Please keep the feedback coming. We do want to hear what everyone has to say.

I haven't PM'd you yet cause I wanna see profile pics of that lip. I kinda would like to see it painted first too, I'm just not feeling the primered look of the hood.

And then theres the fact that I've just secured an FD and am workin on securing a 20b I found, sooo yeah... gotta wait to see how those pan out first.

But don't worry. I should be PMing you real soon. How much of a deposit do you need from each person to get rolling?

$175 non refundable will secure your place on the waiting list and get things rolling. There's going to be about 4-5 weeks between the initial deposit and when the full balance will be due.

Hey looks nice Zach. So that's what you're up to now in CA eh? Good luck on it, I hope things go well for you and 5one5 Do you do much with Reese? Haven't heard from him in forever... Then again I've not heard from any SCRX7 people outside of Derek, and he's left you for Canada!

Good luck though, I'd be interested in ordering a hood but I've still go the TMIC and not enough money for all that now

hold on I want to make sure you're sober when you say it again so clear out your system and tell me you didn't mean the functional vent is ricey.

just making sure a good idea doesn't go un noticed, this way you could still make a mold for the standard hood and a small piece of metal comes with each hood for the stubborn people who don't like it.

Tyler, good to hear from you bro. Things are going pretty good out in Cali. We are both still missing SC though. If you ever need anything make sure you let me know and I'll get you hooked up. Yeah, I still talk to Reese about once a week or so. He is about to start carrying our products through his new shop.

'87 Turbo FC, I saw your post about the vent cap. But that's just not something we are going to do as of right now.

Torean, PM'd you.

A-drift, I understand where you're coming from. You'll get to see my hood in person at some of the local events and as soon as I have a couple of hoods in stock I'll give you a shout.

|)arkSpeed7, sales@5one5innovations.com is our paypal address where you can send the deposit.

Chris, as soon as you are ready let me know and we'll hook you up. And the dash is the CF S13 dash that Mael has adapted to fit into an FC. It's the same one we've talked about at my house before. We actually wanted to put a towel over the dash because it isn't finished yet and doesn't look anywhere near as good as it will. Go figure that you would've noticed it though.

evelhalo, thanks for the nice words. As soon as we have the first 5 deposits then production will start on the hoods. From there it will take 4-5 weeks before hoods will start being ready to ship. We might come in under that timeline, but I don't want to give a time and then go over it. sales@5one5innovations.com is our paypal address where you can send the deposit. And IIRC we have been talking via email over the past week about some other products as well. If you are still wanting any and/or all of those then just wait until the remaining balance is due for your hood and then I'll give you your batch price for everything.

If anyone else has any questions then you can either post in here, PM me, or email me and I will be more than happy to answer any and all of your questions.

Zach

Hey Zach any chance you might have a hood on your car before Rotorfest? Except it's right around the corner. I'll wait til the next meet cause I'd like to check it out in person.

The thing I love about this hood is it's completely functional and custom. Not something you'll see everyday and that's exactly what I want on my car. That's how I'm setting my 91 up, to be completely different and race functional.
