The wiring is not finished in the pics I have posted. It should be nice and clean when finished, hopefully.

Sooooooo are they going to redo all that expandable sleeving with Raychem? Don't get me wrong, I like the expandable sleeve stuff, it just doesn't belong in the engine bay.

I don't know what raychem is but I have no problem with the expandable stuff. My dad works on multi million dollar Catepillar equipment and he uses that stuff all the time. Did you notice there was no clamps on the hoses going to the boost controller? do you think I should clamp those up?

I just looked up the Raychem. Its just the shrink wrap or whatever isn't it? My dad uses that stuff alot too but I think I'll be happy with whats on there as well. They are both good in my book. Thanx for the concern, I know wiring is the last place corners should be cut.

I don't know the exact price but somewhere around 10-12k. Lets just say this my reward for turning my life around and bein' one hell of a good person. Any other youngsters reading this let me be a lesson to you. My dad and I are very close and we would do anything for each other. Love you dad!

It's worth it though. From everything I have heard John at Mazdatrix ( he is the one building my car ) is the best of the best. Yep i'm a daddys boy and I am not afraid to say it. You never know when your going to lose the people closest to you so make the best of the time you do have with them. You can never be to old to love your parents. Plus my moms sister used to have a GSL-SE back in 80 somethin' and he has loved rotarys ever since so thats another reason for the build. It's my car but he will also be driving it plenty, which is ok with me, i'll take his m3 to school

Tunes, A/C, power steering, 300 whp, reliability... Just can't go wrong

I have a Cusco rear bar but I still have to figure out how I am going to get it in. Prolly have to go with a sealed box pushed all the back. Then take out the box when I need to get to my spare.

if your car is your life I would suggest doing the work yourself because you care that much about it and enjoy spending time working on it and that way you have no one else to blame but yourself

Did you not see it is built for reliability. There is no one on this whole forum that can build a motor like John at Mazdatrix. I have even talked to other rotary shops and they even said John is the best builder they know. As far as the upgrades, yeah me and my dad could've handled that but it was much cheaper, easier, and faster going the route we did. Plus I am not a mechanic so the chances of something going wrong would go way up doing it myself. Do you build your own house? Prolly not. Same thing

Thanx

I knew I would get some haters but at least some people can be cool about things
and I'm not posting to rub it in peoples faces but more to show off MT's great work for future people that want to take their cars there and because I am very proud of the car.

not being haters. just saying its one thing to build a car and another to have someone else doing it. we take pride in our work and not trying to be a dick or anything but sometimes a car built with daddys wallet isnt that nice of a car. dont get me wrong i think your car is great! but it woulda been cooler to see you get out there and do it. and dont say you cant cause there are tons of guys here that never even touched a wrench till they bought their rx7. trust me on this, just look around. again sorry if i sound like a dick

Well.... by that logic... maybe you should run some amsoil 15-40 and fill up with diesel.

Yeah, I bought a used engine from one of the best builders in CA... I got it so cheap becuase the builder used the wrong front bearings with the wrong stat gear and the engine siezed. Wiped out the e-shaft, stat gear and bearing, everything in the front, had to cut the e-shaft to get the rotor out.

Upon getting the rest of the engine apart I found that the side seals were clearanced anywhere between .025mm to .2mm. The housings weren't ported at all and I spent a day cleaning up and finishing his porting on the irons.

Point is, reputation only gets you so far. Had you built the engine yourself, you'd know exactely what the engine looks like. You have no idea what the side seal clearance is set at. How tight the apex seal grooves are, etc etc etc.

No ones trying to knock your ****, we're just trying to point out that your **** still stinks, and it ain't the best thing to ever spin triangles inside it. It's like that fuse block and relay distribution.... frankly I think it sucks. There are a ton of better, cleaner, more effective and sexier ways to wire all that up, it ain't the ZOMGWTFBBQ BEST EVA!!!!!

Please post the address of this car. I would love to come and "look" at it. Then steal it Very sexy 10th.

Stereo advice.
1. put a board into 1 of your storage bins. You can mount the amp very nicely in there. You can mount the cap under that. You will get back enough space for a box of beer.
2. Get a smaller sub and have a custom box built to put that in the other bin. Frees up space and , more importantly, keeps your stuff hidden.

definately dont follow that advice . that cvr should face sky ward at the farthest point reachable from the driver for the best sound stage.

One storage bin is used for water injection and I need the other for storage so I can't put any stereo stuff in them.

I was down at MT just about once a week so I know exactly what the inside of my motor looks like, try asking questions before you assume I know nothing about my car.

And trust me I have put hours on top of hours in this car myself, but rebuilding the motor was a little out of my league.

If you don't like my car or the way I did it, to bad. It's my car not yours. I love it and it snaps necks driving down the road so thats all that matters. It's funny that when I see rx7 people in person they have nothing but good things to say but all of sudden on the internet everyone has nuts the size of an elephants and just want to talk ****, Like rcfc89 says- Bunch of e-thug haters.

The true testament of how the car performs will be witnessed by you and that's all that matters as all else is idle minutia.

If you can't handle criticism, than don't post a build thread !!!! Everbody is entitled to an opinion.
