5mm spacer up front and a 10mm in the rear (with extended studs) Should suit you fine. Very slight chance of rubbing with the 5mm spacer; you can remove it if it's a problem.

For the front you can run 235/40/17 (less variety in choice of tire), or 245/40/17 (larger variety). If you have OE style struts and springs you might want to run the 5mm spacer when using 245/40/17.

For the rears you can run 255/40/17 with no issue along with the 10mm spacers.

Ok cool thanks.

I was thinking a 40 aspect ratio but also I was thinking 45, is 45 too tall? The car is just sitting on RB springs and Tokiko illumina's so it's not super low.

45 series for a 235 tire is too tall, even taller than the 255/40/17

Thats because you are the man. Most people on here didnt follow your build or know what the id injectors are capable of. im having trouble with a 750 1000 transition on my microtech. Once again love the car.

+1 I'm running ID725s/ID2000s with my megasquirt and they stage way better than my old 1680cc secondaries. mostly I imagine because they are high impedance so you don't have to deal with resistors

the ID2000s are expensive but definitely worth it.

I'm not sure why they chose +43s in the back.... that'll be really close to the exhaust and the control arms.

I'm running 17x10 +35s in the back and they're great. they rub a bit currently, but that's because I have 275/40/17 hoosiers on them...

I have the 17x8 +35s in the front too and they're not bad, though I wish I got 17x9s. they did need 10mm spacers to fit my 245/40/17s though. they fit great, but I have coilovers with lots of camber dialed in, your results may very...

Ya the coilovers will change everything including clearances.

Here are some more new parts I got today, they should go good with the 10ae interior because of the orange lights and accents(it might not only be 10ae im not sure)-

Ya i wanted to go with something different. Eventually i'm going to get the seat reupholstered(i cant spell, but i think thats right), and i'm going to put 10ae logos on the head rest. Then i'll have nice new custom seats that no one else will have but still get to retain some of the stock look and imo comfort, oh yeah and adjustability. My dad came up with that one.

Thanx

Decided on 225/45-17 fronts and 255/40-17 rears. I used the tire sizing chart thing on RX7.ORG it was very helpful. The fronts will be about 4mm taller then stock and the rear will 6mm taller, thats as close as you can get to stock diameter

I love how most people only post if they have something bad to say. If you don't like the steering wheel then don't buy it, its that simple. If I dont like something I keep my mouth shut, but yes this is a public forum and blah blah blah so I know I will have some "haters" I guess you could say. I'm only 19 years old and I am more respectful than alot of people I see on here. Every time any one posts something they are excited about some one has to come and kill there spirit.

I haven't experienced it myself, but I have heard when running wider tires in the rear it causes the 7 to push alot in the corners. If you stick with that size and do any performance driving I would like to hear how it does. I currently have 235 all around on mine but have yet to get it to an autocross or do any real performance driving.

^Thank you. I've been dying with out my car.

^^I have also heard that and I believe it to be true. If I do any real serious driving I might put the stockers back on, we'll see once the car is back.

staggered setups aren't too bad, you just need to get fairly aggressive with the front fitment. to many people get scared and just put 225s up there. I have 245 Hoosiers that I fit up there fine and they work great with 275s out back (though the 275s rub a bit, I'm still working on that...)

lots of people have fit 255s up front no problem on stock fenders. I would say a good aggressive tire setup is 255s all the way around or 255/275 if you can get the rubbing taken care of, it'll depend on the tire, my hoosiers are probably bigger than normal 275s.

either way the stock wheels probably won't be better than the staggered setup you have unless you load on some rubber. bottom line, more rubber = better.

The motor is back together! Looks awesome. Sorry for the blur i'm using a camera phone, but my parents just picked up a d5000 Nikon so we will have some good pics of the finished build.

S5 turbo with t04 turbine wheel, the exhaust side isn't in yet.

Also we are going with a new clutch(street/strip, either exeddy or RB), pressure plate, throw out bearing, etc. and S5 intercooler(I guess it has bigger piping), and most likely getting a koyo radiator. Oh yeah and say good bye to all that smog crap too.
