180...?

Okay boys, got the car going 185 tonight. It was it, i had the pedal mashed to the floor in 4th, 185 it was still climbing but i guess thats the top speed. Now, I'm not to happy with it :P it's not like i go that speed every day but would removing all the cats make a pretty big difference? and addin a good cylinder filter....and some stickers? hehe. The car doens't sputter make any funny noises or anythin just simple says okay, thats enough...still climbing but SLOW so 185-90 was the top. I slowed down because of the oncomgin traffic...white car...kinda sketchy. And dont worry this was on a big highway with no cars around.

I almost threw up the BS flag...till I realised you were talking about kilometers per hour instead of miles...

I hit 220 in my completely stock 88 GX, 5000 km on new motor, 3/4 tank, and girlfirend in passenger seat, coming home from a wedding, chilliwack to abbotsford along the No. 1 at 2 am.

Surpised you couldn't go faster....

As for the TII.... well, it buries the needle far too quickly.

Er. Not to be an N/A basher, since my rx is technically an N/A, but 185 kmh?
As in, ~115mph?

That settles it. I'm buying the Turbo II in my area.

Hell, I did 125 in mom's volvo on the way home from the theatre tonight.

I had my NA goin 190 or so in 4th while racing a friend's 95 Mustang (Kicked his *** by the way), and still had all of 5th to go. Too bad the road was about to end, or else I would have seen what this thing can really do.

Your car will hardly pull in 5th. I just went a little past redline in fourth.

I've had my N/A up to like 125 @ 6500 RPMs in 4th (redline is 8k) and it was still pulling fast. Beat the turbo eclipse we were racing and shut down.

I'm sure it woulda wound out 4th at like 130 and pulled some in 5th... I 'm guessing a 140-145 top speed?

Wanna race, Scott? 2G buy-in. DC350 can hold the money, since he's too slow to get away.

You want a hand? I'm home soon, and I know how to analyze a rotary engine for probs. You should be faster. Much faster. What are your mods?
As for being gone.... well, I doubt it given your engine's unassisted breathing. Scott and I both got the goods, and I have a little juice to throw in there as well. I also am looking for a reason to put in a new engine, so maybe we'll just have to see exactly how much horsepower a basically stock engine can handle before cracking? Geez that'll be fun... 100 first stage, 200 second stage sound good?

I miss my NA, but there's nothing like boost.

Guess this does not apply to the situation here, but all JAPANESE cars have speed-limiters set to 180kph. Even the frigging cruise control has to oby that speed limiter. Just a thought....

On a side note, I can hit 240kph in 5th, but that was before My new and improved TII should be able to go over 260 real kph easily
