where can you get 1200/1300cc inj from?

the rx7store is waiting on cores, m2 doesn't sell injectors, rx7.com only does 1600cc it looks like, sr.com has 'new' injectors for $350, what looks like stock ones bored out for $180... any other sources?
and whats the deal with cores? send em back after you receive the new ones?

cores means you dont get them back...

let say company x has some stock injectors already bored out (usually by RC)..they sell those to you, take you "cores" and then send those out to be enlarged for the next guy wanting large injectors...

you cant just go out an by 1300cc side feed injectors for the FD...it's not a off the shelf item..

thanks, but i knew what cores meant, just whether or not anyone made *new* 1300cc injectors and if they needed the customer's cores first so they could bore em out and give you the same ones back.

so SR offering *new* 1300cc inj is really new, not just new to them? price seems pretty steep.

so...any other sources for injectors?

KD Rotary (610 614 1214) sells 1200s and 1300s (RC eng bored out stockers) for ~$330/pair with core deposit.

Not sure if they have them, but you may want to give Fuel Injection Warehouse ( http://www.fuelparts.com/ ) a holler.

It sounds like SR Motorsports is a good deal, what's the problem with them? I don't think you're going to find them much cheaper than that.

thats where i'm going to get em put in, so he can tune the car with the new injectors at the same time. i talked to SR and they need your cores first, so you couldn't do the swap in one day, you'd have to pull the inj and wait till you got em back. but if dave's got em then there's no problem, thanks for the heads up.

btw -no problem with SR, -except what i just mentioned-i bought their ultimate rad and a PFC from em, they were very cool.

thanks for the input, any opinions on best fuel pump for running stock twins in the ~13lb range?

You can just send them to RC also, or Marren. It takes them up to 3 days to do them if you don't need your car in the meantime. The walbro pump would be plenty for what you need, and its cheap. I don't remember the website but I picked mine up for like 115 I think.

Sorry, didn't see you were in PA.

I'm glad you like SR otherwise, as I live close to them and was going to get the PFC from them and have them tune it as well.

I've heard the Wallpro is good but very noisy. There is a Nippon Denso part that is good up to 500 hp. You can get it from several places, rx7.com, SR, other places.

I have never heard any noise from my Walbro, or of anyone complaining about that from them.

This is where I got my pump from:

After talking extensively with Dave about this, the Supra TT pump that he sells is the way to go.

I had heard stories about the walbro (which I had installed) failing, and Dave said he had heard the same.
Also, the Walbro is smaller than stock! I had him put in the Supra pump...he said it's the biggest that will fit in the stock location.

I don't know about you, but why compromise when it comes to a fuel pump? I've already blown an engine from leaning out, and it wasn't fun....

Can you put in upgraded injectors as a drop in replacement? I need to know because I am having a guy replace my engine (with a streetported one) and my turbos (with highflow twins) and I do not have a large budget at all. At what point do I have to upgrade my computer?

yes as long as they are bored out stock ones such as 850cc turned into 1300cc or 550 turned to 850 thats how it works or else you got to get a diffrent fuel rail

So I get the primary bored to 850 and secondary to 1300 and I wont have a problem with the stock computer (streetport + highflow). Where can I get them bored out (cheapest)

You really should have an aftermarket ecu to run a streetport, high-flow twins and modified injectors. The cost of an ecu is cheap compared to having to rebuild that new engine.

I believe you about having to upgrade the computer but I am just wondering why? What exactly does a streetport, high-flow twins and modified injectors do for HP and boost etc?

Don't turn your primaries to 850's, 1300 secondaries is plenty of fuel and you will not get a good idle with 850 primaries. You will need a programable computer when you run bigger injectors also. Your streetport and upgraded turbos will flow more air than the stock ecu is designed for, then you might run lean and pop your motor. You may be safe with the stock ecu and just those mods if you kept it down to 10psi and had no other mods, but that seems like it would defeat the purpose of having a ported motor/turbos.

My friend just told me the same thing about the primaries. I plan to get a computer but I only have so much money right now and the computer I want is the AEM which isn't even released yet. Wouldn't I get more HP from the same 10 psi? I was also thinking of getting a Supra TT fuel pump.

Yes, you would get more horsepower, but there is some room to work with on the stock ecu. This would only be possible if you don't have any exhaust or intake mods. You would need to put it on a dyno with a wideband to confirm. If you don't have any other mods then you really don't need bigger injectors either. You could always pick up a used modified ecu to get you by also. If you are spending the money on the supra pump, just go all the way with the big Bosch pump, I think they are aroune $250. The only reason that a rechipped ecu might not work would be the ignition timing, you would have to call a tuner or something to see if the timing is much different on a ported motor.
