I saw one when I was a kid and fell in love. Didn't really think of buying one since daddy dearest gave me a brand new car as a surprise HS graduation.

Then Initial D reminded me of it.

I then did the dumbest thing possible: Sold the new car, bought me an FC and well over 10k later I have the world's slowest FC (money\hp ratio )

I already had my FD, but I always really like the sound of a NA Engine.

I saw a clean S5 for 1000.00 not running.

Got it to a friends house and unflooded it.

great car, not my powerhouse, but I love the way it sounds.

Wanted a RWD car with a stick. Had to handle decently, and my cousin let me ride in his modified t2. I ended up getting an NA at first, but it was cheap and I was young lol.

I started out by seeing this one car driving down the road and thought it looked ugly. I knew about rx7's at this point and a couple weeks later I heard it was an rx7 and I was like oh and never really spoke of it since then. A couple months later, I found a 1986 rx7 n/a with 280k km's. I had no clue it looked like that one rx7 I had seen. When I was up close to this 7, I fell in love with it and bought it on the spot for $2k. I bagged the **** out of that car, after 6 months of ownership the coil packs went, and I was moving a couple weeks later so I had to let go and sell it. About 4 months later I found an 87 t2 with 132k km's for $5k. I bought it on the spot and here I'm. I've been on these forums ever since I bought the 86 and studying long and hard.

to tell you the truth ... haha I had no clue about the car when I first got mine. I didnt know it was rear wheel or had a special rotary engine .... I didnt have a clue what drifting really was. I just wanted a more sporty looking 5 speed than the car I had at the time. (94 3 speed automatic cavalier) haha

I am known to have a pretty exstravagent personality and I can't of another car that has more of a personality then a second gen rx-7. I love it, and you will have to cut off my cold dead hand before you get my ownership papers.

The only thing now is that I am starting to realise how much easier it would be to drift if I had power down low (like a v8). I am currently on a mission to make a 13b-re seem as much like a v8 (low end power) as possible. (basically instant spool turbo (gt35r) or one of the such.

My first car was a Red /auto/ 1.5l honda del sol, it was....cute.
I sold it to get a real car and after trying for a couple of months to find a good 240 I happened to find my 7. It had a TII hood and we thought it was turbo, till we got it home. After that I got in a little fender bender and traded it and cash for my beautiful TII.

Now I'm 18 and have a black on black leather TII with 450hp and I don't think i'll get rid of her for a very long time. It consumed my life and wallet for the past 4 months so it owes me some fun time now.

Mine's similar to Evil. In 2003 my rusted, Auto Trans Am(V8 though, none of that six nonsense ) crashed three times in two days and I'd had enough. I started looking for RWD, fast, manual sports cars, with an emphasis on great performance, and built over seas. I'd grown tired of the Trans Ams "handling", and wanted something that would hug the turns. Did some reading about RX-7 and was sold. My old man had had an FB, and said he wouldn't have sold it if he didn't have kids, hehe, so it was also parent approved. Bought the first one for $1200 from a muscle car dude with way too many projects, and a DUI.

I bought my first 7 at an auction. It had a blown engine. I purchased it with the intension of turning it. Purchased a used engine (that happened to be good). swapped it out, ended up selling it to my son. I bought it back from my son just last year. Just can't seem to get away from them. I also have an 87 TII I'm putting back together. Go figure...

I also owned a Porsche 944 turbo, so when when I hear about German Power I think of AAA tow trucks.

924. The 944 was a beefier version(that always makes me laugh, I can't stand German engineering) and the turbo was supposed to have 215 HP(?), I think. It was okay fast in a straight line, faster stock than the lightly modded Tii I worked with, once the Tii got upgraded the Porsche couldn't keep up. I think the N/A 944 Vs FC is a little better comparo, but believe it or not it cost more to make the N/A 944 get to 200whp than the FC.
