Slow cranking

Slow cranking issue, not able to start SA.

Have replaced the battery cables and the battery tests good. I also tried it with a known great battery form another car.

I just replaced the starter and all was great. (O'Reilly's Ultima Starter - Remanufactured | ULT R612262A) Then it started cranking super slowly...

I have removed the starter and cleaned up the bolts and mounting surface with no change. Is this starter now dead?

What else can I check or clean etc? Or replace starter again?

For testing purposes, disconnect the coil wires, remove the belts, and unplug the fuel pump so it does not get 12V. Removing the coil wires is to ensure it does not fire and disconnecting the fuel pump 12V is to ensure it does not flood. Maybe something that is driven by the belts (AC, water pump, Air Pump) is dragging it down.

Hmmm I will check this out.

I do only have the one belt for wp and alternator, no ac or air pump. I did notice my Water Pump is leaking, unsure if its the weep hole or gasket. May be connected?

Any recommendations of where to get a quality starter? Maybe Atkins?

3rd remanufactured starter seems to have fixed the issue.
